Linux Paritions are not fat 32 or NTFS..
they are EXT2 /EXT3 / F2S / Journalling system etc...
i prefer EXT3 personally.. its been stable..
You can read NTFS partitions with some addons..
and some releases come with builtin support for read partions..
but Fat16/32 is not a problem.
yes u just click on Take Ownership and say Ok ..
and also dont forget to click on propogate to child objects..
otherwise each and every file and folder needs to be set individually..
Its bootable if uve got Pxe BOot Rom in your Network Card..
generally not found in most of the network cards except a
few Intel and 3Com cards have it...u can also create a
bootable floppydisk for the same..
please use easyrecovery pro
i know its good..
i have used it to recover many of my files..
there are so many other data partition recovery softwares availlable..
please use google..
each and every local dns server in this world would need a seperate entry in their root servers tab ,the particular alternic or whatever domain ip address for them to forward a iterative lookup query.
if you are using a vpn connection and dialing on the public internet then the server needs to be configured to give you an ipaddress for the remote area subnet . This is the usual norm .
But i donno how your network is configured ... please provide some more information please.
i saw the orange man eating a car and the bomb exploded cause i never said bye and she ran away with the cat though it was just summer and my neighbor crashed his car when the worm had dug a hole and here i am in anandtech.com
My solution would be easy..
1 . press F8 and select the option that says Start windows with last known good settings. (this restores all the registry settings)
and you might be able to login as normal like before... or try
2. Just grab a another hard drive or install another Copy of Xp in...
what about multilinking ?
use 2 modems and enable multilink ..
i guess the modems are capable of this sorta feature...
and your isp supports the feature.
just check wheather you have 2 files in
windows/system32/wins/
the first one is the worm msblast.exe
the other one is the svchost.exe which is actually a tftp server in disguise
both of them are loaded in services.
to identify the tftp server check the svchost.exe with the | system |...
Mozilla Firebird ROOOOLZZZZ :)
its the best...
ever since i downloaded it ive been using it..
the tabbed interface (ctrl+t).. wow ive fallen in love with it..
im really thinking why another stable browser never came b4 from mozilla ...
its the best.. if only the authors can get around the few...
If you are in a Domain Environment and your installation is corrupt or your password was lost then
the assigned recovery agent us a/c of the domain can recover the files.. though he needs the certifcate
(recoveryagent) from the CA.
CheckPoint with NG FP$ is my favourite :)
its cool .. its got a slew of tools in it to prevent on detection
thats what IPS is all about well i donno if its better than tripwire though.
I might argue its not nessacary to go for any real commercial applications..
there are so many VNC applications.. you can use..
lots of them are also open source..
just try a search in sourceforge...
My favourite is TightVnc
strange problem..
dont really have the answer..
but hope to get more info from you..
what else do u use.. ?? any thrid party app
to filter Http Traffic originating from Browsers ?
is it service pack uninstall directory ? just curious.
try changing the permissions..
or mebbe the files in that directory are being used
by the active OS...try changing to another OS and deleting.. it will work..
but make sure its not needed..
can you please check the dns settings.. do u get them through DHCP too ?
cause i suspect the DNS and also check the Proxy settings.. which might cause this problem..
this might be a likely case ..cause a proxy server is the gateway for the internet usually..
so its better to check that up...
Hiya
Whatever software u use dont ever use a proxy server..
that too with standard ports like 8088 etc..
YOu will K-lined and banned from most of the Irc servers.. if they find out and they also check for more than 2 clones then u are banned .
Yes...
all that matter is the size ,Speed and Fragmentation rate of your Hard disk
If there is an excess of anything in these 3 the performance will be directly reflected upon
yes u should have backed up the keys..

Comeon Buddy .. hvent u had enough with ur native fat32 in ur 9X machines..
switchover to the NTFS arena it gives amazing performance for large disks..
Plus it is is the best for security supports EFS (encryption)
So i would opt for NTFS .
