32-bit or 64-bit OS? I thought I knew...

Ok I thought I knew the answer to this for the longest time. Here is the CPU I have in my Dell Latitude E6400: 1 J174K Processor, P8700, 2.53, 3MB, Core Penryn, 25W, R0 Is this compatible with the 64-bit Windows 7 OS? I always thought 64-bit OS is only compatible with 64-bit CPU...

I have a Dell Latitutde D620 and a port replicator with a 22" samsung widescreen 2253bw hooked up to it. I have a question: I had windows vista on it and it output to the samsung at 1400x900 with screen perfectly filled. because of performance issues, i just decided to put xp back on...

Buffalo WHR-G125 Router...$24.99 AR...CC

HP printer won't wake up on network print

I have a deskjet 6980 that is connected to my wireless network. when i first set it up it would work fine but after a long idle, it would not wake up when i want to print and would show "offline" in the printer screen. any idea?

vista ultimate

i have a full version of vista ultimate. it currently sits on my laptop. i have an older desktop that I want to put vista in. does the same copy of vista ultimate install on two computers? if so, is that second computer fast enough? (p4 woody 2.53, 1gb, 100's of storage) thanks.

vista screen saver?

In windows vista I went to set up the screen saver for it to come up 5 min after idle, but it does NOT come up, EVER. Please help. my laptop sometimes is left on for the whole day when i'm out and i don't like that.

the catch about sero plans is that the internet option only applies to ev-do enabled phones. katana has vision but not POWER vision, therefore you don't really have the sero plan.

ok so i have the netgear router mr814 v2. i've used it for a long time but it started giving me some problems. for the last few days it would disconnect every once in a while, also, when i try to load a website, it'd take a second "looking" and "connecting", before it goes to load the website...

can ntfs read fat32?

if i have a drive partitioned into 2, XP installed on one of the partitions formatted using NTFS and the other part is formatted using FAT32. can I boot up XP in NTFS and read the FAT32 part of the HDD? Thanks for the help

can wireless be as good as wired?

i like the convenience of wireless networking...i walk around the house with my laptop a lot. however, i've always been anal about using wireless with my desktop because i do a lot of work with my desktop and i need it to have a stable connection that deosn't drop or fade periodically...

so whenever i use wm10 on my winxp, when i close it in the middle of playing the clip, the window would go away but the sound would continue playing. i then would go to task manager to end wmplayer.exe, and the sound would stop but seconds later the program will reappear on the task manager...

ok, so i bought the audiovox 6700 from the sprint store with a regular 2-yr contract, went home, called the 877 # provided in this thread, and asked to be switched to a SERO plan. Funny thing, everyone I got a hold of knew of the SERO plan. I was set up on it, with equipment insurance, and 6pm...

default install directory problem

i used to have this HDD in my computer named G and i have since taken it out since I got a bigger drive and the drive G is now absent. whenever I try to install some software, it prompts me an error stating that it can't find drive G. i guess drive G is the default software install location...

i just tried to use windows xp cd to boot from and repartition the HDD since i do not have a 3rd party partition utility handy but it still only sees a 127gb HDD. do you think a 3rd party utility would change that? anyone's got an idea?

update, i just found out something. it recognizes in control panel/device manager/disk drives/maxtor/volume as a 300gb hdd and it says 127gb formatted and the rest unallocated. could it be that i just need to repartition?
