If only they'd abandoned the CS "trying to be Tech support" script... let me talk to a tech.... who probably who have told me about the router within 30 seconds. Routers are cheap. Good CS reps, that apprpriately route calls, aren't I guess. No hard feelings though.

Signed up in late Jan, equipment arrived early Feb. Installation was a snap, service was good, call quality was good. Noticed after a few days noticed that my "9 MB" download speeds had been reduced to 2mb. Called cable company, they sent a tech out, checked my setup, confirmed the gizmo...

Battlefield 2 not so good

The last couple of patches (don't start about crap-coded games being rushed to market...yes it IS all about money.) have really improved the realism of this modern combat game. The patch yesterday made the air vehicles much more balanced, and gone are the irritating days of the jackass...

Mixed Ram problem?

With a DFI NF3 motherboard, I have two sticks of 512 DDR 400 3200 2-2-2-5 OCZ Platinum Rev2 in the board. I bought a stick of 1GB DDR 400 3200 2-3-2-5 OCZ Platinum (Rev 1 I guess). I put in the 1Gb stick and get boot hangs, bios beeps and/or BSOD's followed by restarts. No overclocking...

Battlefield 2- Help Forum.

Installed Nvidia 77.30 drivers, now WMP broken.

Installed the new demo of Battlefield 2. During installation it installed nvidia's new 77.30 drivers. Now when trying to view internet video and audio content with the Windows Media Player 10, the video doesn't playback and the audio stops playback after about 5 seconds. Then the WMP10...

Volume is not muted. Speakers seem jacked correctly. Standard one plug in the center jack of the upper row (It's green). In the Device Manager, there are no yellow exclamation marks. In the "Sound, Video and Game controllers" section of the Device Manager there are: Audio Codecs...

AC97 Audio in Bios is set to "Auto", only other option there is "disable." Device Manager looks good too.

Latest Bios, Windows XP pro SP2, latest Nforce drivers.... Trying to just use the onboard sound...and nothing. Looked the manual over, and it has no section for the onbaord audio... Have I missed a jumper, or some small software setting?

Before the incident: Both HD's were on the same controller. The motherboard of course has 2 onboard IDE controllers. I had the HD's on one and the CD'S on the the other. It was the one that the CD drives wereon that took the surge. After the incident: After putting in the IDE...

The IDE Controller card did it's job, however...I can't get around a BSOD. When I ask it to boot from my original HD, it begins to boot Windows but BSOD's mentioning that the HD might be corrupt. I tried getting in via Safe Mode...last known good configuration.....still BSOD. When I make...

No dice. I tried unplugging the questionable drive. It posted, then listed all the onboard components and their IRQ assignments but seems to hang while "Verifying DMI Pool." The Hard drive light comes on and stays lit through the hang. I tried disabling that channel that the drive is...

Onboard audio vs a Sound Card

At times after I've put my system back together after upgrades/maintenance etc, My Lite on-CD drive bay has a bug that it opens on its own during boot and won't stay closed after I get the system back together. In the past, I've powered down the system, opened the case and pulled the power...

I can make a combined BMP no problem. But the BMP file is huge and degrades terribley in compression. I've tried pasting the 2 images in a new file...but it distorts both images. This image is going to be the header on a website and needs to be a nice compact quality GIF or JPG. Once again...
