This problem started when I upgraded the firmware to 1.73 hoping to get it working with my powerbook.
I have DSL service from Verizon. I get a public IP from the DSL if I connect without the router. But, when the router comes in between, I DO get a private address but the router is not able to...
No beeps what so ever...dead as a dead duck. Tired powering without anything, with 1 ram, no ram, HDD, 1CPU, 2 CPUS....
The same power supply is running the system I'm typing from right now so I don't think thats a problem.
What should I do now?

My friend gave me a MicroStar 694D Pro - Dual 370 Socket Motherboard
When I power it with my current systems power supply all I hear is a faint but shrill continuous beep coming from my Power Supply. It sounds similar to the charging of a camera flash or a big cap. No beeps from the onboard...
Thanks fr the link, it helped clear up some basic concepts.
My intended question was, How can I stop somone who is not on my Allowed MAC address list from getting an IP through DHCP.
Currently, anyone who associates with my AP gets an IP address through the DHCP server (I'm on DSL from...
This question might sound stupid but here goes...I have a 1220B that I want to use as an AP for my laptop, but at the same time I don't want anyone walking down to street to be able to use my DSL connection.
Thanks a ton,
I'm running Windows XP on my desktop and want to access the internet using my notebook, both systems have a Wireless NIC.
Pointers are welcome.

Well it all started when I saw the new MobyDock release, it required DX9. So I installed DX9 on my XP machine. While searching for DX I came across the 3.5 drivers, I was running 3.2 so I decided to upgrade them aswell.

I just got into a similar problem.
I booted back into XP from Linux and the monitor was set at 60Hz, my usual setting is 85Hz. So I went to the Display Properties->Setting etc. and saw it showed "85Hz" writted there. I cranked it up to 100Hz and then to 75Hz. My eyes still felt it was...
I'll be living in NYC starting July and I need to buy furniture for my apartment. Does anyone have any good ideas on where to get a cheap bed, matress and a small table? Just graduated so I can't afford anything lavish like memory foam at anything ;)

1. If you are running dual CRT/VGA with an ATI card please post your specs.

Is anyone using a dual monitor CRT setup?
I've tried the Matrox but the card doesn't go well with my monitors. They are both Dell P991s
What ATI card can I use that will give performance comparable to a 8500?
I've posted my card for sale/trade in case anyone is interested :)
Conclusion:
My money on the 64MB got wasted. I think I will go ahead and buy a new card. I even tried chipping off the 4 pins in my adapter to see if it worked or not!
Guess, I need to buy a new card and an adapter.
Budman : Would you reccomend the 128MB version or would another (better?)...
I bought this card a while back and with that also bought a standard DVI-VGA Adpater, but DVI side of the adapter seems to have 4 extra pins! OR there is something wrong with the component used on the Sapphire board. You can see it in the pictures.
I'm not familiar with DVI standards and this...

I am writing software for an embedded systems project. I've never used interrupts so I'm not sure how to go about it.

I got my Sapphite 8500LE today and it won't work the ATI Drivers.
I uninstalled the ATI drivers and installed Sapphire drivers that came on the CD. It worked fine.
Any idea why?
I'm not into gaming but I do want good 2D. Would ATI drivers do a better job?
Thanks
I have a case from Dell (XPS-T), not sure what's the term for the size but it's not the huge tower and also not the baby size.

Do power supplies come in standard sizes?
:. Looks like this one .:
Thanks guys!
What card would be a good match for my system config /\ ?
I don't plan to upgrade for a while now, so I'll settle with the higest end card that my system can use fully.

Reasons
:. I can't run beyond 320x240 (fullscreen) when I'm running visualizations in winamp. I want a card that can give me 640x480.
:. I don't play games except Serious Sam sometimes.

what do you mean by quality?
I was thinking about getting a
P4-1.2GHz +
512 MB (or atleast 256)
1280x1024 screen atleast
DVD/CDRW combo drive
30 GB plus HDD
For IBM this tag goes beyond 3K USD.
For Dell/Toshiba/Sony its around 2.5K
Is it worth it?
My current desktop is a P3-900Mhz 512MB TNT2
What notebook are you using?
Do you run Linux on it?
Which one would you reccomend?
Are there any good finance schemes?
Is a price tag of $2000+ justified?
