Yes, I set it up myself, and yes it is live--just watch the clock. It's a little Linux -web-server-in-a-camera. Just plug it into an ethernet connection--do a little config via a browser or ssh terminal, set up your router, set up dynamic dns and Presto!--your live feed is on the net.
Enjoy!
Hi all...
Many of you know about the web cam that I've installed to document the crashes that take place routinely outside of my apartment.
Well, tonight in honor of July 4, I'll be slightly re-aiming the camera so that I can broadcast the fireworks display live from Playland in Rye, New York...
The Gold card also will allow for an unlimited number of location profiles, while the Silver only will hold 2.
(Just in the interest of completeness...:))
Hi All...
I have a small program that (hopefully) converts MPEG4 files between various formats but it's from Sharp in Japan and it's in Japanese. It's a little tiny program but I'm having a hard time understanding how it works--since I neither speak nor read Japanese...
So, I was wondering if...

Cliff Notes Version:
-Ryan from amdmb.com went to MML2
-At MML2 AMD gave a presentation about the Athlon64
-Ryan claims that he was not allowed to enter the building since THG had an "exclusive"
-Other web tech reporters were allowed to enter since they agreed not to post any A64 related...
How long have you been in school? A single Engineering major is more than most people can tolerate. My EE took me 5 years and my MEE took another 1.5 years...I DO NOT suggest that you do something as stupid as I did.
Full DNS propagation across all name servers takes up to 48 hours, but DNS servers near your name server will update much more quickly. I've has it happen in as little as 3 hours.
What's the URL for the site?...I'll try a bunch of name servers and see what I can find.
Thanks for the letter but that letter implies that the debt is mine and that I want to deal with the original creditor. The debt has nothing to do with me.
If I had her address and/or phone number I would gladly give it to the collection agency--but I don't have it nor do I want to know it.
The problem with calling a lawyer (which I still might do) is that I refuse to spend one cent that has any connection with my ex-wife. It's a principle.
I've been happily divorced since Nov 18, 1996. After our divorce my ex-wife became a very committed and accomplished avoider of debts. She did things like use MY ADDRESS for her credit applications and generally blow smoke towards me when it came to her debts. From what I know she's since...
You're not the only one! When channel 7 called me earlier today they thought that I was an advisor/consultant for the NY state Dept. of Transportation. I had to set them straight that I'm just your run-of-the-mill web activist.
Lots of people browsing the cam right now...
The camera won't save live video but I've been saving a screen cap every 20 seconds. When I want to play it back I just create a slide show of the still jpgs.
Not this time...the actual height of the bridge is 12'6" but it is marked improperly since NY law says that the bridge has to me marked at one foot LESS than the actual height.
I have to admit that there is a bit of entertainment value to the cam, but the main reason I installed it was to record--in detail--what's been happening here for many years. One day a propane truck is gonna hit the bridge and we're all gonna have a REALLY big problem. Hopefully I'll be able...
I have a Fujitsu S series that I bought OVER 2 YEARS ago (P3M 700). It's a great notebook. If I was buying a new one today I wouldn't hesitate buying another one. The IBM would be my close second choice.
I haven't had good luck with Dell laptops. Many of my clients have had problems with...
Googlegear has the Seagate 120GB Barracuda V SATA drive for $180 shipped :)
Newegg has the 80GB version for $172 shipped :disgust:
Both are in stock now as I write this
listening to the NYC poilce radio frequency...they're telling the cops to go no closer than 3/4mile away from the scene. and, there is a fire in the underground pipes going inland.
about 25 minutes ago I looked out my window (about 20 miles away) and I saw a giant black cloud. I turned on the TV and the radio and it was about 10 minutes before I saw any coverage.
The cloud is HUGE!!!!! and floating towards Long Island...thankfully not in my direction. An UNBELIEVABLE...
The president of the college that I went to was named John Toll.
The best piece of bathroon grafitti that I've ever seen was "What's another name for a pay toilet?"
Providian markets heavily to people who have not so good credit. They charge very high interest rates, but they will take (what they consider to be) the risk of giving you a card. Once you establish yourself with the new card apply with another bank for a better deal and then cancel the one...
