partitally i rebuild it becouse i enjoy the process. i know it sounds crazy. the other reason is becouse i charge hardware a lot and what types of things i am doing. rather then deal with the hassle it is easier to rebuild.

Win 98 SE install question - conflict

if it isn't the modem just start checking devices in the device manager to see what is missing. it could be a NIC, or something else. Odds are it is the modem, but if it isn't just look through everything to see what isn't there.
