So who here owns a dell axim?

I have one. A Dell Axim x5. The novelty wears off after a couple months, and now it sits around collecting dust. It does nothing well, not internet, or even functioning as a PIM as I have a small 12" laptop that is 100% better than the pocket pc for these tasks. Big waste of money for me.

You might want to try Synergy: Synergy I use it for three monitors on my desk connected to two different computers. Works for me.

Can't Play DVD's in New Rig

Im pretty sure that when you install PowerDVD or WinDVD on your system it installs a codec that windows media player can use. Just install PowerDvd and then open the dvd up with Windows Media Player and see if that fixes the problem.

How high can you overclock an Athlon 64 2800+?

I have my 2800+ Clawhammer at 2.0 ghz without any changes to voltages or ram. Anything over 2.0 ghz and Computer reboots while playing games or similar, but not sure if it is the processor , or the power supply. Chaintech VNF-250 and Mushkin Basic Green PC3200 Ram

Help! SP2 killed yet another system... Mine

:D never mind was not reading closely, i burned a cd from the repair installlation of windows, but nothing seemed to be working right, so i formatted and installed Windows again.

Same thing happend with mine, was able to go into the recovery console and burn my mp3s and other files onto a disk with the built in Windows Burner, but other programs i tried did not function correctly or at all, so i just reinstalled, then immediately downloaded SP2 from the Windows Update...

AMD 64 and Windows XP SP2

Another A64 user, works fine for me, but I did loose everything on the harddrive the first install attempt, but I think that had something to do with ZoneAlarm. I would get to the Windows welcome screen and it would reboot, over and over. Format and reinstall fixed it though.

Argh! I can't take it anymore!

Can't speak for the other boards, but the Chaintech is a good overclocker if that matters to you. I have my Clawhammer A64 2800+ running at 3200+ stable on stock cooling. So I would say option one with the free Farcry. Just would not reccommend the MSI since my friends MSI Intel board bit the...

How do I upgrade my videocard?

In order to upgrade my video card from 9800 pro to x800 pro/xt do I need to uninstall all ATI drivers from my machine and then swap the x800 in, or can I just turn the system off, remove the old video card, and install the new? What is the procedure for this? Thanks for any help :)

Building an AMD 64 system
