I found out one of my friends needed a new motherboard so I sold him mine and am going to replace it with the Rampage, which I got at a pretty good price.
Quick question for everyone. I got the watercooling parts yesterday and set everything up this morning and was wondering how long does it...
Ah ok thanks for clearing that bit up PCTC2 well anyways I ended up going through and ordering all the parts and included some T-Lines. Almost all of the stuff should be here soon and I can't wait to set it up and take some pics.
Ok took everyone's advice and switched out some parts and here is what it looks like so far
CPU Block: Swiftech Apogee GTZ w/ 1366 plate
GPU Block: Koolance VID-NX295 waterblock
Pumps: 2x MCP355 w/ XSPC DDC Clear Top
Radiators: XSPC RX260 Radiator and XSPC RX360 Radiator
Reservoirs: 2x...
Zalman coolers I noticed put out ok performance but its not in the same league as the top of line coolers. I'd say if you could afford it go for a TRUE or Noctua cooler and if your on a budget then go for the S1283.
My budget is pretty big so I'm thinking of getting mostly high end things.
Right now I'm looking at getting these:
CPU Block: Swiftech Apogee GTZ w/ 1366 plate
GPU Block: EK-FC4870 X2 CF High Performance Water Block or Swiftech Caldera 4870X2 Hybrid Cooling System Water-block
Pumps...
How are the temps on the i7??
Yeah I've been looking into running dual loops for each for a while now but wasn't sure if it would be overkill or not.
Right now I've been thinking of setting up a triple radiator for the i7 and a dual radiator for the 4870x2.
Well I've been thinking about watercooling the i7 and 4870x2 for a while now and just have a couple of questions about some things. One thing thats been bugging me are the high temps many people are getting with the i7 even with watercooling and the 4870x2 also puts out a bunch of heat. Now...
Opteron 165 - the best oc I've ever had
Q6600 - its doing pretty good except for a couple hiccups here and there
E6600 - still running after everything I'm throwing at it
Athlon 64 2800+ - worst oc I've ever had and it ran too damn hot
Working fine for me to in Vista x64. One weird thing that did happen after I uninstalled CCC was when I tried to install the driver package it didn't recognize my video card but after downloading it again it worked fine.
@piuc the 4870 x2 came out today already
I'd say go with the 4870x2 its a big upgrade from the 8800gtx. The only gripe that I have with it right now is the price gouging, which should die down later on.
Quick question for you guys. I just received my P35-DS3P motherboard yesterday (rest of the specs are in my sig) and set everything up. I left everything at stock last night and everything was working great. Now I'm starting to play around a bit with oc my e6600. Right now I have 1.28v for the...
Great wiring in your case ozoneman. I just received the same case with the custom window panel from performancepcs yesterday. It fits everything perfectly.
I love newegg. Even though their prices are a little inflated their service is still great. I got caught up in the mwave out of stock crap so I cancelled that order and just searched around for a while. I ran across the evga 8800gt ko on newegg so I immediately put in an order but my shipping...
Same here. Added one to my cart and it came up $9.99. Shipping kind of kills it for me.
Edit: Nevermind tried adding another hd-dvd and instead of coming up $9.99, it came up as $13.50.
"Your shipment will be made in two steps because the regional in-stock warehouse which made this shipment cannot ship directly to your state. Your package is being shipped to our main Ohio warehouse and will then be immediately forwarded to you."
great........
I went to my local costco's last weekend and they had the sceptre tv out on display. It looked great but I didn't have enough time to play around with the settings.
Sweet in one thanks OP. Total came out to $168 plus 5 free movies, which I'm going to sell, so its a good deal overall. My order has already been complete and I'm also waiting for a tracking number, wow they are quick.
Just got the modchip in the mail today. Not bad for $11, now the soldering part might be a little tough considering that I tried modding my ps2 before and that didn't work out to well. Hopefully this is easier.
In for one. For $11 how bad could it be. Plus from what people are saying at fw and here seems like the modchip is the same as the original wiikey modchip.
LazyGit this isn't my first build what I meant by first rig is just my main computer and my 2nd rig is just my backup/testing machine. I've tried 401 MHz and it still wouldn't boot. I've already read the other threads about certain settings in the BIOS and I have everything setup correctly.
