Well, I finally finished my 670 FTW loop. I got the tubing routed the way I wanted and more importantly I got the correct size compression fittings this time. I also picked up a Samsung 830 Series 128GB SSD to replace my (2) Intel X-25M Raid 0.
And the last shot taken through the case...
I just finished everything in the rig and with the photos, so here comes more hardware porn.
The EVGA 680 GTX back plates went on with no problems using the XSPC Razor 680 GTX blocks, the screw heads were slightly larger then the holes but the screw itself was long enough so there was no issue...
After owning the G930's and now owning the A40 with the 5.8 GHz wireless mixamp I have to say that the A40's are FAR superior in every aspect, sound quality, connectivity and comfort.
The only thing I feel that the G930's have over the A40 is that the wireless module is integrated into the...
Some of the parts arrived so the water cooling porn can continue. I'm still waiting on a smaller package that has some Bitspower rotary fittings, which is holding me up!
Here are pictures of the XSPC Razor 680 GTX block, the SLI block and the EVGA 680 GTX back plates. I have to say that the...
My 670 FTWs which will replace my ailing superclocks have arrived! :)
I thought the white on the heatsink for the SC was bad, the green lettering is even worse! :( At least I won't have to endure it too long as I can order the EVGA 680 Hydro block and back plate since it's designed on the...
ICK! The white on the cards throw my entire color scheme off!
I can't wait until EK finishes making blocks for these so I can ditch the huge ugly coolers.
Although, this can be the perfect opportunity to re-sleeve everything that is orange to white and replace all my...
Boooo :( I can't use my GTX 670 Superclocked Editions because there is a recall on them because a few are faulty, and the 2 I bought are :(
Good part is that EVGA is doing cross shipping and upgrading everyone who got bad Superclocked Editions to FTW Editions :)
Yes I know it is overkill but I already had 16GB from my previous laptop and it was cheap enough, so I was like yeah... screw it and bought another 16.
I finally have gotten around to upgrading since I wanted to see what Nvidia had up their sleeve before buying the Radeon 79XX series, I'm glad that I waited.
I just have to wait for EK to release some nice blocks for the cards and I will be in business, I'm not quite sure if I want to use...
Newest little toy for my build, the Razer Black Widow Ultimate mechanical keyboard. I should have my MLG Astrogaming A40 Wireless 5.8 GHz headset tomorrow as well so pictures to come again tomorrow.
I'm also torn on if I should replace my Logitech G700 gaming mouse for the Cyborg RAT 9. I am...
Some new toys from Black Friday sales...
Decided the HT Omega Striker 7.1 would be a good alternative to the SB X-Fi Titanium HD since it would not fit into my setup. It definitely does not dissapoint and the price was right.
The Corsair SP2500 2.1 Gaming speakers are f'n amazing! That is all.
The final picture flood should be coming along very soon.
I am just taking the time to zip-tie down all the loose cables/wires into bunches and finishing up some last minute sleeving.
I purchased and mounted a NZXT IU01 USB Expansion module as the GA-Z68X-UD7 motherboard only had (2) internal...
Well here she is, 95% completed. I am just waiting on my MNPC Tech "Diamond Knurl" case feet, larger heatsink for my Aquaero 5 XT and a replacement Koolance FM-17 flow meter and I my build will officially be done.
I got my A-60 Neoprene tubing from Frozen CPU and replaced all of my clear...
Well after some testing I figured out that the issue with the tubing flattening was due to the walls of the tubing being too thin. Also, the pump was in a very poor spot being above the reservoir which ultimately gave me bleeding issues.
Ultimately I had to re-position the pumps and re-route...
After a successful leak test and a 10 hour Prime95 burn in to test my 5 GHz stability here it all is.
It's still messy as I'm waiting for new rounded SATA cables and looking for some new tubing as I'm having a little problem with the Tygon tubing I purchased. If you look closely where I...
5 GHz achieved!

Leak test was good, now I just have to let the lines bleed the air out and organize wires, pictures to come tomorrow!
Dun dun dunnnnnnnn!
You bet it does!
EK Supreme HF Full Cu Nickel plated block mounted. Sexy and awesome.
Time for some surgery! Out comes the 990FXA-UD7 and in goes the Z68X-UD7 :) I'll post pictures once I get everything mounted inside of the case. Then it's time to start...
Today was a good day, as I have won both my small claim suits against Fedex and Dell as they did not show up to defend themselves in my case against them. I was awarded a total of $1000, $500 from Dell and $500 from Fedex.
Ordered my Sandy Bridge 2600K and Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD7 to replace all the AMD junk. Hopefully I will have it by tomorrow and then I can take some snap shots and install it so I can route my tubing and start my leak tests!
Looks like my build is changing and I'm going with an Intel system since the Bulldozer is a Faildozer. Now I get to have the daunting task of selling off this 990 FX motherboard and water block and try not take a huge loss on both.
Anyway... I got some more stuff in the mail today, the Enzotech...
I used my debit card through Paypal and it wasn't from Dell, it was from a previous owner. But as per Dells website the warranties transfer, especially ones like the Complete care package and the Next day business replacement which you have to pay extra for. So Dell is definitely in the wrong by...
LOL!
The seller insured the package with Fedex and we had initially attempted to go through Fedex for the claim but what I was told when I had called was basically that even with the damage sustained to the box, that since there was plenty of protective bubble wrap around the LCD and plenty of...
Well I bit the bullet today and decided to buy a used Apple Cinema HD Display 30" off of a Craigslist post. I definitely did not want to risk shipping damages again after the last fiasco so I picked it up locally.
I dislike Apple as a company due to their poor business tactics, but due to my...
Well, Fedex stated in a letter that the even with the damage to the box with the amount of bubble wrap and foam peanuts inside the box there is no way the LCD screen could have been shattered so Fedex refused the insurance claim.
So I had no choice but to warranty through Dell as the monitor...
So much for my Dell issue being resolved. They outright refuse to honor my warranty even thought their website specifically states that the damage incurred would be repaired/replaced.
After 2 weeks I finally got them to authorize the complete care package warranty exchange and it sat at...
Here is the update as promised.
These are just some "work in progress" pictures I took today while I was drilling out mounting holes and using my uni-bit to make the holes so I could use the BP fillport fillings to make my pass thru ports.
LOL, well update to my Dell situation.
After 9 days, 30+ numerous calls and speaking to 17 different customer service reps, I finally got fed up and wrote an e-mail to 9 different VPs at Dell and made them aware of my problems and within an hour of writing the e-mail I had a manager from Dells...
Well the horror of my new monitor aside.
I got some 3M Di-NOC Carbon fiber vinyl and covered up my BluRay-RW and the exposed aluminum from my PowerAdjust 2 module. Now everything is nice and uniform with black.
Thanks for the kind words all, I'm glad people are enjoying my build as much as I am.
@ RussianSensation, my photography skills actually suck and my camera is meh.. It's not even a DSLR, it's a Canon Powershot S3 IS :)
Crappy update to come...
First off let me say that Fed Ex can SUCK IT. I...
Thanks, as for the case it can run anywhere from 400 - 500 depending on the config and accessories. The case is well worth it, its probably the best case I've worked with.
