I thought about a pre-built system (only an HP would be considered) but I get a lot of satisfaction from building it myself. I don't mind paying a little bit more in order to pick the components I want, brand names I'm familiar with, etc.

New Build - Western Digital WD2500YS sata drives

Thanks for the advice everyone. I agree that every board manufacturer is going to put out boards that have one problem or another. My goal is just to find a board that gives me the best performance and reliability for the dollar, without having to overclock, SLI, CrossFire, RAID, etc...

After the h=ll I went through dealing with Dell's customer support, I will never give Dell another dollar of my money. I recently bought this monitor from Gateway and couldn't be happier. If you have a Best Buy in your area, you might be able to find it there (and save on shipping).

Audio Cable Help

Just go to Home Depot or Lowe's and pick up some ordinary zip cord (sometimes referred to as lamp cord or wire). It's usually multi-stranded 16 guage wire and sold in rolls of 50 or 100 feet. Should meet your needs perfectly.
