Thats been the plan for the last couple years, don't see them changing now. Performance is about what I expected. I'd like to see some crossfire results to; I'd assume a 6990 about equal to 6950 Xfire.
I'll admit I wasn't expecting a refresh this year from Nvidia due to power and size issues. But since they announced they were releasing a replacement for the 480, you'd have to assume it would be a fair amount faster to warrant a new series name.
I only voted on three; the 580 and 570 are probably going to be slightly faster then the 6970/6950. Also the 6990 faster than the 595 because it's probably not going to be made.
I got a HP laptop where the graphics crapped out(6150). I used a butane lighter to heat it up around the chip. Worked for about a month, then it crapped out again. Repeated the process, lasted for about 2 months the second time. I didn't do it a third time.
On another note, I read somewhere that's how the FOV actually is done in the beta version of starcraft 2. If it stays that way a 16:9 monitor would be an advantage.
Hard[OCP] showed at launch that there was very little difference in the cards when it came to real world gaming, not canned bechmarks. This just reinforces that conclusion.

Three 480's overclocked to 800. He gets really good temps on the cards with the fans cranked to 100%. A 1200W power supply won't cut it.
I don't find their reviews awkward at all, in fact I think they are the best on the net (from the ones I've seen of course). They run the games at the highest settings the cards can handle and play it to see if it runs well enough.
Don't look like theres any AA in the metro screenshot on the 480 on the chest, light fixture and the boards. Alot of places besides the characters really. The textures on the floor get blurred alot in the distance as well.
The textures in the crisis screenshots get softer on the radeon as you...
