Nvidia 91.47 & 93.71

had a problem with the xg 93.71s in which i cant overclock my card,fails the test at stock speeds and reads the ram speed at 2 gig,i tried the the test at 400,1000 and still no joy.uninstalled the old drivers which where xg 91.45 correctly ie safe mode driver cleaner and all that,anyone else...

2 7800 GT's in SLI or 1 X1900XT?

if youve got a gt sli em if not get a 1900,simple.dont understand how people can be so mental over which vid card they use,its not football or war.

does pacific fighters use vtf automaticly on 7800s?wondering as when i tried it my water didnt look anywhere near as good as some of the pics on this thread,ive put the water upto 3 in the config file

yep am gonna get this set i think http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/produ...details/US/EN,CRID=2177,CONTENTID=9486 as i imagine a decent set of speakers will last a good few years.was gonna sli my gt but i think i will wait and get my sound sorted out first,what would you recomend for a sound...

yep your right m8 he emailed me back and he uses it for dvd,will try that card you pointed out,its only a tenner,think im going to get a decent card and 7.1 speakers end of the month,thanks for your help cheers m8

no i can only use the coaxial lead,optical at the moment so ive adleast got 2 speakers working.think the card i found will do the job as ive seen a review and the bloke who done it had the same prob as me with a deferent card.and now hes happy as larry with the hercules card.if i cant get it...

thanks for the repy,my speakers are kirro,got given them ages ago and been using em for a couple years on my tv.my set up does dolby digital which i would like for gaming as ive just replaced my £5 speakers i was using and the deferrence in sound quality is pretty amazing.ive found a Hercules...

anyone using onboard sound and 5.1 speakers?cant get my rear speakers to work,have uptodate drivers and speakers do work just not on my pc,not a major problem as i will get a sound card soon.would be nice to have surround now though.cheers

not sure about the liberty series but enermax are good psus.been looking at this psu myself http://www.silentpcreview.com/article247-page1.html as my antec is a bit on the loud side for me,this or the antec phantom.as your doing to oc on the dfi id just get a 144 as you wont need the higher...

i use the 7800gt which is a good card for the price,it cannot run the newest titles at high res/all eye candy though,ie fear and cod2.they both still look good at lower res with aa though.could wait a few weeks on the vid card and see what the new ones are priced at,im not sure yet if i should...

Asus A8N-SLI Premium or A8N32 SLI Deluxe?

premium is a good board,never had any trouble with mine apart from arse chipset drivers on the driver disk,stable,quiet,high htt,all the bells and whistles,what more do you want from a mb?x2s have some problems i think with vcore from reading other posts.

What's the general HT ceiling on NF4 SLI boards?

330 for mine without upping voltage,not sure if more volts would help though.

Found a site that carries Akasa Amber fans.

ive got a evo120 cpu cooler which uses the akasa amber fan,at 1250rpm its pretty much silent and pushes a good amount of air,keeps my cpu at 30 idle 40 load which isnt bad for 2.6gig,even at full whack its loud but doesnt have that annoying whine,just the whoosh(good word)of air getting thrown...

im in the same boat,i dont need a new chip as mine is fast enough but i know all it can do some im bored with it,gonna get me a 146 to play with cause overclockings addictive.

wouldnt worry about running your ram at 1:1.unless you bench i dont think you will notice any difference using a divider,i use corsair and mine dont like going higher then 230,even with very relaxed timings

would doubt that was stable m8,or was cherry picked.2.8 on stock volts is good steppng opteron range,e3 venices are good but by all accounts the new e6s dont overclock so well,mines an e3 not sure the stepping and does 2.6 at 1.475 vcore,needs 1.5 for 2.7.

you must be joking,if your in the field you want something that works when needed,you dont care if its a bit heavyer.all you worry about is if its gonna put rounds on target when you pull the trigger.try having to use the sa80 in bosnia,great for moral.trying to think of something that has to do...

Overclocking and cool'n quiet...

c and c works fine as long as you use the default cpu multi,my pc is on 24/7 and most of the time runs at 1.3gig at 1.2 vcore which is all good
