Mandrake monitor refresh rates?

Moving HD with WinXP to new mobo

i did this recently and XP wouldn't boot it had major problems i had to format. thing was though i was going from an AMD Athlon to an intel P4, this might not be your case and i think it is fundamental. good luck with it!

any idea which file this cursor is located in? (you know, the one which pops up when you insert a CD) it's not explorer.exe, that actually doesn't have any cursors, and it can't be changed through the mouse control panel option, but i would like to get at it with Resource Hacker. any clues...

did you see this page? << Lindows, (www.lindows.com) has a name that in itself is genius. It's software that combines Linux and Windows without violating any trademark or copyright--although I bet Microsoft will sue at some point. >> this is just inviting publicity caused by a legal debate.

acer USB modem in 2k/xp - PROBLEMS

XP / 2K dual boot problem

i got it fixed. i just reinstalled winXP and it works quite well. it goes through the entire process of an installation but keeps almost everything from the previous installation. i haven't checked if 2K boots yet though...

i tried these things (thanks for the suggestions guys) but it still doesn't help access to the shared folders on the other computer running winME. the key thing is that everything (files, printers) were working b4 using the wizard, but now i get the error msg when even selecting the computer...

boot with a windows 98 emergency boot disk (you should have one lying around) and type fdisk /mbr. this will replace the Master Boot Record (which will be XP's one) with the win98 version. hope this helps, stafford staffordvaughan@bigpond.com

my installation of RC2 has the shortcut in the accessories menu by default. also they took the liberty of improving the command line to keep a buffer, allowing you to scroll up to previous commands (VERY useful)
