    I have found 8800gt's available everyday since the launch. It all depends on what version or price you want to pay. Look around you can always find one for around $300. Still though it is in limited quantities :(

    I would say the COOLER MASTER Real Power Pro RS-750 would be a good choice if you can find it. Their 1000w version is good, but pricey.

    both the 172x and the 710T use a TN panel like Mr. Kubicki said. The 710T has better contrast, brightness, and adjustability (i.e. it can be higher and can flip to portrait mode). It has DVI and is included with the purchase. I got my 710T today but I don't have my new computer to plug it in...
