Yes, everything has been working fine up to a couple of days ago and I haven't changed anything. That's why I think it's the memory module.

My system running windows 98 se stops booting right after the memory count just before detecting the drives. any ideas on what the problem is would be greatly appreciated.

I have my HDD partitioned with extended and a logical drives and I am running win98 se on the primary.
Can I install win xp on either the extended or logical drive.

last year a friend of mine downloaded and ran a y2k bug fix ever since then he's got to boot with this floppy disk or he doesn't have use of the mouse. He's running windows 98se. Any ideas how to fix this problem?

I have a 20 gig wd hdd and am only able to access 2 gig because of the OS Win 98se. Should I use Partition Magic and make the rest of the drive 2 gig logical drives?

I don't know if there is something wrong with cd. it's been ok up to this point. Do you think if I run Spinrite by Gibson research that might tell me something. This system is brand new. I just got don building it.

I am running win 98 se. I keep getting different error messages from different dll files. i.e. mshtml.dll. I tried fdisk and formatting the hdd with the /s switch but they keep coming back. any ideas?

I put a creative lab 52x ide cd rom in my brothers system and it doesn't show up in my computer. I went through add new hardware. I edited config.sys and autoexec.bat with the vide-cdd.sys and mscdex.exe files to no avail. any help would be appreciated. It's running win/98 se.

I just put a riva tnt2 32mb video accelerator in my machine and I can't change the settings. There is only two options (2 colors or 16 colors) How can I change this. the screen is real grainy.
