okay right now running prime95 for a few minutes with small fft temps are 71, 70, 66 and 66

temps as of right now(idling) are 42, 37, 34, 34. the first has always been the warmest, although i can't remember how much warmer before the OC and as5 application. as5 has only been on for ~ 2 hours; i know it takes time to set, but i am assuming that that core will still idle above the...

has anyone else had their on-board sound not work? at first, i assumed it was muted, but when i go to volume control an error box comes up saying "there are no active mixer devices installed.." what could the problem be?

i went ahead and tried it. it works fine now. *i would have tried that before, but was afraid the constant in/out would damage the ds3.

ill try that with the new card. i would rather not keep pulling it in and out of the ds3 with it's thin pcb not knowing if it's actually the card itself that is broken or not. thanks

what makes me think it is a faulty power supply is the fact that the sys fans are also doing weird things, and they are connected directly to the psu and should not be affected by the mobo, right? but like i said, i am reusing an old hdd and every other part of the system is new, which means...

i haven't let it boot up yet. i am reusing my old hdd with this new system. i was planning on booting to the floppy and wiping it and doing a fresh install untill all this took place. edit- and i obviously haven't OC'd yet

well that ****** ****** up.. it wouldn't boot in sata I or II then when i put it back into PIO, i got to watch the windows booting screen for 5 minutes 0.o which is the same problem i had when i first put the comp together.. at boot, it would just hang up. sounds like i got a dud hdd

i didn't use that, but the ati catalyst control center had an option to uninstall everything that was installed; so i did that. the card is working and i can see the nividia logo in the tool tray, so it must have worked. but i don't see an option for temp viewing when i right click the lgog.
