If you want to use the Add/Remove feature you can go to Taskbar and Start Menu Properties, click the Classic Start Menu button and use the Add/Remove feature. As you are exiting just click the button back to Start Menu so you don't actually switch to the classic mode.
My Sony floppy drive won't work with my 8K7A.It won't boot to it with a startup disk and I get strange errors in Windows. I swapped it out with a Mitsumi and it works fine. The Sony does work perfectly in my other system. Would like to know the cause of this also. Anybody?
I had the same problem when I did a format and fresh install of win98SE using the Via 4.31 drivers.I uninstalled the 4.31's and went back to my good old 4.17's. I have used the 4.25's without any trouble also.
Thanks for the replies guys. Helikon that did the trick, what a bizarre problem.Sorry for the delayed thanks but I'm on vacation and not checking in much.

People like to criticize the Golden Orbs cooling ability but I have overclocked two PIII 700's and two Celly 633's using a Golden Orb,an Alpha 6035 and a Fop38 and have never seen any difference in temps.
I liked the Elsa tools too but couldn't find a way to integrate them with the Det drivers, however when i was running Win98 I ran the original Elsa drivers as they gave me the best performance and stability over any other drivers.
To change to the Dets go to device manager and switch to standard...
