I succeded in getting the heatsink of "the rough" way... :) Now I am fetching up som "ACETONE" (danish translation, sorry) to clean up the glue!

How do you detach the heatsink from the hardwareunit... I froze the card in -25c for about one and a half hour, but the effect was not noticeable! Could you please help me?!

How to reset detonator-drivers?

Does anyone know how to reset the detonator drivers completely? At some point I must have installed some Detonator drivers with my native language and now I cannot get it back to english... This perhaps doesn't sound very bad to you, but it is like half of the options are in danish and half...

Crappy performance..!

It has been done, but it changes nothing... It would be real nice if I could get some help with the detonator problem (Problem 2) - because I cannot change any of the driver settings (for an instance: Remove the damn logo in the right corner).

Strange L1-bridges..?

Hey!!! I know this sounded crazy - but nevertheless true! They must have ran out of ink. :) I just gapped the hole as you said, and now running 1333@1485 MHz - and satisfied. I have done this many times on durons, and this amazed me! Silly question, but do you think that it may have been set...

Word is being dumb

This problem is common if you use 3. part programs when using Word. If you for an example use an Exel diagram or a formula in Microsoft Equation Editer, this might very well be the source to your problems. I usually find the corrupt part - and delete it. Then it works again. To find a corrupt...

Messed up...

Hi! I just went on the big Detonator-driver tour, in order to see what driver suits my computer the best. Now to the problem: At some point the language switched to my native language and now half of the options are missing no matter what driver I install... DAMN! In half of the select menues...

I just got myself an AMD AXIA 1,33 GHz, but check this bridge-configuration out: closed-closed-open-closed They couldn't afford to gap the last hole or what? - or perhaps this is the normal setting for ThunderBirds?

Diablo II locking up...

I run the game on another computer that also runs WinME, and it works just fine?! The video-card is some ATi blablabla card (standard office-computer) without any air-fan. The computer has never been overclocked or the like, so I dont think that the problem is about overheating...

Diablo II locking up...

I play Diablo II on my PII/350MHz but about 20 min in the game it just locks up. :( The machine only has 64 MB generic ram and I considered this to be the cause, but what do you say? NB. The computer is resonly formatted and running WinME.

HTML-question

How do I change the cursor to a hand within NetScape (6)? OBJECT.style.cursor works fine with MSIE but NetScape seems to be a differint matter. Please help me as I can not live without perfection for both browsers (year right=).

Opinion on Overclock of Duron 800

I have the exact same settings and problems as the one starting this post. And I figure from what others have told, that it may be problems regarding the homewritten L1-bridges... Am I really forced to buy a defrogger kit if I want to overclock past 900 MHz?

Bad airflow in an Aopen HQ08-case...

I have installed a duron 800@900 (1,75V) (idle: 47c)... and all the fans recommended in the manual. Still the motherboard (a7v) temp. is around 30c, which I think is bad for a case with 3 x 80mm fans (2050 rpm) installed. The air comming from the PSU is hot - but the air comming from the two...

How to overclock?

I couldn't get it over 900 MHz and it is 800 MHz by default. It runs now at 900 MHz with 1,75 V and temperature is about 43,5c idle, 46c stress... Why wont it overclock to 950 MHz (1,85V or 1,80V) ???

I just set up a duron 800 and I changed the multiplyer to 9x to gain a performance of 900 MHz - worked just fine (nice temp. too)! Then I tryed entering a game to test the stress-performance. I played half a mission in Crimson Skies when it just magically droped out of the game. Mmmmmh.... It...

I DID run a PC without Thermal Compound and it run a little hot... Although not hotter than 50c idle. Regarding your question mikee: No I dont, but my brother does. :) Thanks for the replies folks... :)

I just did the pencil-trick on my new duron 800, and now I am wondering "what if it isn't done correctly?". Is it possible to run tests of the system without the compound? Then I can always apply artic silver after I have confirmed, that the operation was succesful.

Bend pins on a Duron-CPU???

You guys are GREAT... The best... Prima (if any of you knows german)... I bend the pins back using a simpel kitchen knife! And now the lever is closed and the CPU fits just perfect!!!! :) :) :)
