Can't get core clock above 392 MHz

Antec Case Doors

I had two sonata doors break w/in the first 3 months of having it, but I called Antec and they promptly shipped out new ones with no hesitation, and no cost to me. Definitely a poor design on their part, but they make up for it with customer service

So I got in on one of the better HD deals lately, scoring 2 120gb Maxtors that I plan to set up in a raid 1 in a new machine for my dad. The problem is that all the mobo's I'm considering (Asus P4P800, P4S800, and abit counterparts) have only SATA raid controllers. I can, of course, buy adapters...

ASUS P4P800 Deluxe: Single drives on RAID controller?

If it's anything like my p4c800-e dlx, you should be able to configure the controllers for raid/non-raid in the bios. There should also be 2 proprietary non-raid IDE controllers for you to use anyways...

Glad you got it all working! I still don't understand, though, why your ram can't handle the 5:4 divider, as you haven't passed 250fsb. It would be interesting to see if loosening up the timings allows your ram to run faster, though it's been debated whether higher ram speed or tighter timings...

I have a very similar setup (2.6@240fsb on a p4c800-e dlx), with my cpu topping out at the same speed. The only tweak I can suggest to you is increasing the mem speed to 320, which pc3200 should be more than capable of running at 5:4 ratio (192mhz). I'm using OCZ EL PC3200, which I tested at...

80GB Western Digital Special Edition drives for <$70

That's only a valid argument if you're filling out the rebate during a time you would be working. Taking a few minutes out of free time to likely make a few bucks back is worth it to me, especially since I almost always forget when the rebate is "supposed to come" and am pleasantly surprised...
