SLI for Pentium 4?

Will the SLI motherboards be for AMD or Pentium CPUs? or both? i see the alienware one that they are selling has a Xeon in it.. so does that mean that its going to be Intel based? I am a couple weeks from buying my P4 rig, but if SLI is never coming to the Intel side, i'm not going to do it...

Going to be building soon...Is this a good gaming system??

what kind of ram?

For the money, i have always been impressed with Samsung chips. If you don't want to rack out the cash for a gig of OCZ or Crucial, then i would go to pricewatch.com and look for the cheapest samsung chips you could find. it might be samsung chips on generic sticks but as long as its samsung...

I'm going to be building a new gaming box at the middle to the end of october and i'm looking for some suggestions. First off, I know the Athlon 64 out performes any p4 in gaming but is that still true when you factor in dual-channel DDRII and PCI-Express on the p4. I don't have the money...

Albatron Ti4280 -- is there a better card for $150?

Looking at new video cards, and right after i posed my 8500LE vs. 9000P thread, I deceided i wanted a bigger upgrade, so... I have heard good things about the Albatron Ti4280 and its about $150 at Newegg, any better suggestions? Any of the FX cards in that range or cheaper going to compare...

Overclocked?

... i don't know much about the techinal things to look for, but the first thing that popped in my head is take off the heatsink, and look for Arctic Silver 3.. if it wasn't OC'd there really isn't a need for it.. worth a shot!;)

Best way to partition 120 GB HDD?

I just bought a 120 GB Maxtor HDD, to add to my 40 GB HDD, my question is, should i partition it into, say.. 3 partitions of 40 gigs or should i just leave it as one big one, or what, i am looking for peak seek time, i want it as fast as possible, any suggestions? Thanks -Ralidan

what should be the cpu temperature?

Alas, yes I have had my CPU up around the 80 C mark and no damage (luckily) came from it, if you keep reinstalling the heatsink, your thermal paste/compound wares off and the problem steadily gets worse, get yourself some Arctic Silver 3 or a better HSF before you reach the same extremes i did.

Lost my Internet connenction; Bad Card?

I am assuming that it is a Dial-Up modem? What is happening to it? Is it just not connecting correctly or won't it even try to connect? Did you delete your connection and run the Network Wizzard? Try that before buying a new card. -Ralidan

Ever feel like quitting it all?

YIKES.. well after reinstaling windows and finding out that my newly bought RAM was defective... I think this computer is acctually running now... (decently) and with this new mobo i am getting much higher PC and 3D Marks then ever before, with less MHz... Still want to beat the hell out of it...

HELP! RAM upgrade on Gateway 2000 didn't work!

I tried using both sticks and just one in the slot that the old ram was in.. one thing i did notice is that it was quite a bit shorter in height.. how would i know if it is the old 5v DIMM?? Yes i checked the manual.. couldn't find anything, had to do alot of online research to find the mobo type..

HELP! RAM upgrade on Gateway 2000 didn't work!

Visability Problems with LAN on XP - HELP!!

ok, i changes the NETBIOS setting and the firewall.. about the "privite" setting, i don't even remember how i did it... Something in "control panal" then "user accounts" i was setting a password maybe.. but it asked if i would like to make this account "privite" for some reason i said yes...
