I tried evidence eliminator-- it's too large, expensive, complex. It can easily screw up your system if you are not careful. In other words - it's Overkill. IMO it's not needed for the average user unless they have something to hide. Most of it's features can be found in freeware...
I just bought a Shuttle AK32A to take the place of a Soyo K7VIA that blew about 7 caps. It is fast and stable with WinXP, Athlon XP1700, and my old PC133 RAM. I didn't need to reinstall XP Home since both boards used a VIA chipset. I also have an ECS K7S5A on my backup computer with a 1GHz...
It was to work with IE & other mail clients. I also remember it being difficult to setup - probably because it was constantly changed without updating the documentation. I lost interest in it very quickly and didn't like the fact that it's an add-on app. A better idea is to have that...
I still use the older version 4.95 (not freeware) when it was Cowan Jet Audio. It is by far the best sounding audio player I have ever used and has a ton of features, including video player, MP3 ripping etc in an impressive interface. I use it to listen to audio without accompanying graphics. I...
I used it before and didn't care for it. Places an extra icon in the system tray while its server fetches yahoo emails. It didn't work all the time and there were many complaints. Pop Peeper is much better for yahoo & hotmail as well as POP3 accounts.

The capacitor problem has been discussed previously in this forum. Here is another recent link on the issue:

My 2 1/2 year old Soyo K7VIA motherboard w/800MHz Classic recently died because of this problem. I found 1 blown capacitor and several bulged caps...
My favorite weapons were the shotgun and the dynamite! A very good game for it's time, and still very much playable. I got it a few years ago in a package with 3 games for 10 bucks, Shadow Warrior - another great game, and another one I never played.
Nice! Using XP and seems to work fine so far. I always read the user comments on download.com and based on them I probably wouldn't have downloaded this one. I went to the author's web site and he states that the program has only been tested on XP and 2000, which probably explains why it has...
Avant Browser, Crazy Browser, Opera 7.01
The main advantage for these browsers are multi-tabbed browsing, built-in popup blockers, and slightly faster speed. Both avant and crazy browsers work on top of IE.

Simple Bookmark converts your collection of Internet Explorer favorites
into a single HTML file or vice-versa, that can be opened by a web
browser or even used as a web page. (freeware)

Did you try Winzip or ZipGenius? I'm not aware of any limitations for file splitting for both of these programs.

I used 4.5e for a few months, never tried ver 5. Generally, I think GetRight is over-rated. It has a lot of useless features (ver 4.5e) and a confusing interface. It was also slow and didn't do a very good job detecting downloads from links. I prefer something simple and fast & FreshDownload...
This free app might work for cataloging CD's, Drives, etc. and is searchable. <a class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://boozet.xepher.net/" target=blank>

I had the same problem. This worked for me:
To uninstall 4.7, click the start button, then run, and type in or copy-paste the following:
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove
Then click OK.
