That's a pretty damned glib comment IMHO ;) I ordered mine from Multiwave for the "low" price of $309 on Monday night at about 11pm PST. Got it yesterday at 4pm or thereabouts paying $6.60 or so for 2day shipping (useless since I'm 45 miles away, but it was only $0.60 more than ground)...

Opteron 165 0547 from Multiwave

I just got mine yesterday just one day after I ordered it (yay for FedEx 2day when you're 45 miles away) ;) I haven't had even a spare moment to do more than stare at it in awe, but the fact remains that Multiwave has 'em in stock for $309 and the one I got is from the almost fabled week 47...

Asus A8N SLI Premium Memory Problem

Because I'm using a hardware RAID5 card, not the anemic style found onboard ;) I'm starting to think you may be onto something, especially in light of the fact that it seems to keep defaulting the RAID card as my "SCSI0" device and the actual SCSI card as "SCSI1".

I don't know the quality of paper that Costco uses, but they charge $0.19 for 4x6 and $1 for 8x11 (iirc on the latter). And I believe that Walmart has relatively low prices as well.

Hmm... there is a shim preinstalled, but I don't know if it's realistically removable. Then again, since I'm not even using the waterblock this time around, that's probably not the issue.

P4C800 + SX6000 = $3000 load of crap

Well, it's nice to know I'm not alone... I've been litterally going through the ringer with a SX6000 and an A7N8X Deluxe board! If I boot the system with the SX6000 plugged in , but wth no drives attached, my system boots just fine. Granted I never see the SX6000 BIOS nor any visual...

Well, thus I said "officially" :) I'll grant you that this being an OEM addon is a bit troubling, but then again it's not as if I haven't taken advantage of unofficial FSB... I have very fond memories of my ASUS P2T4 (?) and 75/83 mhz FSB :)

Just as a point of reference, abilitywholesale.com has a less than stellar repuation at resellerratings.com. In fact, all of the affiliated sites have rather poor ratings. Definitely a red flag, despite the excellent pricing.

Which of these cases is the better choice?

Well, I know nothing about the Maxtop case, but I've built in excess of 100 systems using various 7237s. The only complaint I have is the stiffness of the front bezel. Otherwise, it's a sweet case, though granted a bit plain.

Why do my IBM 75GXP drives keep dying?!?!?

I've got a stack of two (2) 30gb and two (2) 45gb drives, as well as two (2) 27gb (not 75GXP) drives, all dead, all appear to be electronics issues (controller board). On the 27s, I was able to revive with a controller board swap, but not so for either of the 45s, and I haven't even tried yet...

Supermicro IO shield problem

Simple problem... I can't find the one with audio ports. I upgraded from an Asus CUSL2 to a A7V133 with audio (I had no choice at the time), but I can't find where I put the audio IO panel. Anyone know where I can find one?
