i'm in the market for a new laptop and i have a dilemma. i can either buy a Core Duo laptop right now (an Asus F3jm) or wait a while for Core 2 Duo to hit boutique vendors (as of now, only the biggies like Dell and HP offer Core 2 Duo). I would buy the HP DV6000 but the graphics card it offers...

Are there any Barebones Laptops with decent GPU's?

i don't have any experience with this one, but the Compal HGL30 has an NVidia Geforce Go 7600 w/256MB of RAM in it. it's a 14.1" screen.

ok, i'll try to reconnect everything in hopes of getting it to work. i've tried the computer with two monitors also, one a brand new Samsung 930B and one a 21" Mitsubishi CRT. neither worked at all.

farmer, i'd advise you not to create menus on your DVDs. the project does not call for such extras. plus, there is not much time left on the deadline.
