terrible game performance after motherboard upgrade

solved my problem. cpu was overheating and the motherboard was cutting me back to 1.8 ghz, 133x14 due to TM2.

I just got a Gigabyte EP45-UD3P to upgrade from my Asrock 4coredual-vsta that only had x4 PCI-Express and my frame rates dropped significantly. My video card is a Sapphire 4830 I got the end of last year to upgrade from an AGP 6800. I never got a FPS boost from that at the time, but I believed...

this is the 8500, not the new pos solo. Just like finding a Ps2/GC/Xbox for 10-15% off. Finding an escort for 10-15% off is hot. The prices on these things never budge.

HOT! KBToys Video Game Clearance - Starting Saturday, 12/20

bah, I wasn't even thinking of F-Zero GX untill 3pm today, and I was at sears at 8am. By the time I got back to the mall they had none left, and ya, Grand Rapids stores had that list clearanced. I usually don't make a habit to stop into KB unless I see a deal like this and even this passed me...

I just got off the phone with support and they tell me this update is an update in service which actually costs more. $92/month compared to $58/month I'm paying now. So I guess for those getting more speed for free, lucky you, otherwise a big YMMV? :(
