Windows XP home Dynamic Disk?

Does anyone know if there are ANY hacks to make Windows XP Home SP2 support dynamic disks? I know Tom's hardware has a hack to allow Software RAID5 on XP Pro, but any for XP Home?

Linux box reboots on random days but at fixed time

Have you looked at your motherboard to see if it has bad caps.. Its possible that it is rebooting under some sort of load. ECS is one of the brands that is notorious for bad caps on their motherboards. I have seen a lot of K7S5A boards with this problem.

Can you obtain the mac addy and serial from a cable modem electronically?

Hacker and what to do about him

on my web server I have noticed lots of people trying to gain access. I simply set up sshd to run through inet.d and when I see hack attempts in the log I simply add a line to my /etc/hosts.deny file to ban his subnet. Stoopid people are easy to deal with. KMF

Onboard ethernet can't see internal network

If the other two computers have XP on them with XPs firewall enabled then you won't be able to ping them. Make sure all firewalls are turned off on all machines since you are behind a router, there is no need for software firewalls. KMF

What was the idea behind windows ME?

Wrong, ME runs EXACTLY the same over DOS as 95 and 98 does. M$ just tried to hide it, but you can still hack ME to allow you to exit to dos or boot to dos while hitting F8 during boot. I will agree that ME is horribly buggy though... The first windows not above of DOS was actually Windows NT...
