That is not correct:
The “K” designation of the chip means that its core multiplier is unlocked, and can thus be overclocked.

Does the Intel SS4200 storage server have a hardware or software based RAID controller?
If software based, it would explain why some people mentioned that it took forever to built...
If software, if getting the WHS version it won't support RAID...which means, no RAID?

I was looking to get the following video card:
EVGA 512-P3-N801-AR Geforce 8800 GT 512MB
And was curious if anyone has this already and how loud the fan is?
Thanks,

I just installed Windows Vista on my computer with the following specs:
Intel DG33TL motherboard
Seagate ST31000340AS
Both support SATA II transfer speed, however the transfer speeds shows up as ATA/133 instead:

I asked ATI about their AIW 9800 Pro wondering if there card
is able to convert VHS to DVD and received the following answer
back:
"ATI cannot advise you on recording to DVD because of legal copyright
issues. "
Now no where did I mention anything about copying movies, which
is not the only...
Not sure if in what section this belong, but here it goes:
does anyone know if I take my laptop (which has a DVD recorder) to Europe, will I be able to play DVD's up there?

With companies pumping out so many different cards out there, I'm wondering how ATI and NVidia will be creating drivers in the future? I have a Matrox and a couple of years back they used to be the hottest cards on the block, however now they are refusing to write drivers for their older cards...
How can ANYONE defend a company that tells you that their card was developed for Windows 98
and served its purpose? If that was the case, we all would have to throw our computer out the
door when Microsoft releases a new operating system. Their CRIPPLED support is an INSULT!
I was HAPPY with the...
>>would like to change my ti4200's display name in the nvidia drivers. any1 know how this can be done?<<
Yes...you go to NVidia and you order a new card with the name that you like, plug it in, and whala...
your computer starts up with the name you wanted!

I have a Matrox Marvel G400-TV and although the card works,
when it comes to support Matrox certainly is a major pain:
1. Support by phone is a LONG wait
2. When you finally speak to someone, the first question is to ask for SERIAL #...
no SERIAL # and they hang up!
3. When you get your...

Thanks for the link and wasn't aware the DVI port was not included on the 9600 Pro!
And no VGA on the 9800 Pro! Still pricey...I saw a BRAND NEW Dimension 8300 and it
went for $610 (P4 - 2.6GHz with 120Gb drive & 512Mb of memory) and it INCLUDES a
Radeon 9800 Pro! So how can the AIW-9800...
I was planning on getting the ATI AIW-9800 Pro, however when I went to CompUSA
I noticed that they are still selling the 9600 Pro. There is a $200 price difference and
I take it that the 9600 is not as fast. Is that the only difference?
Now my question, can you use the 9600 to convert VHS to...
>>Why not use the matrox card? <<
I know I can plug in my video into my computer, however
how do you convert this to the DVD so that this is playable
on standard DVD players out there???
Has anyone used the Matrox for this?

I was also looking at CompUSA and noticed they had a couple of options of Pinnacle Systems:

I have a couple of VHS tapes that I like to convert to DVD and was wondering
what is needed? I just ordered the Plexwriter 708A:

That seems to be the trend on a lot of laptops.
What you buy, is what you will be stuck with!
Besides the jump from 800MHz to 900MHz is NOT a big jump
and most likely not worth the investment and pain.

Don't worry guys...I format the box and installed up to SP3 and re-installed all the stuff on top. No big deal...just a couple of hours lost, which is what I was trying to get around to.
Spy: you have repeated yourself for the last couple of times without putting anymore value in the thread. Also remember the fact is done already. So to bring something up that will not resolve this, is wasting valuable time.

Maybe she will appreciate your cocky attitude. And oh forgot...no offense either!
Format and Re-install Windows?
You always take the easy way out? There is a trick for everything in Windows...
surely there must be one for this too!

Now when do you need to enter a gateway at each NIC and when not? I have looked around and sometimes see people putting it in and sometimes they don't...is there a convention to follow?
