They just started showing up in Japan, akiba has some pics of it here: 1.40 PIII-S pics
Waiting to get my hands on one soon as they are available here. Lots of reports of hitting 160-170FSB on the 1.26 PIII-S at default Vcore. This would work out to around 1680-1780MHz with the 10.5X multiplier...
Abit ST6 works well with the Tualatin Celerons. I have a Cel 1.2 running at 1600 at 1.6V on an ST6 rock solid. Lots of people using the ST6 on the new celerys. TUSL does not have 1/4 divider until you get over 133FSB which causes PCI bus problems from 125-133FSB. 1600 is the upper limit with air...
I believe that the old "pin-taping" trick for slot-1 processors would be your best bet for adjusting the Vcore on your CC0 SECC2 P3. You might have to do a little digging to find it though. There was plenty of web pages telling how to do this 2-3 years ago.
Hey I am still using P3 coppermine/BX (700E@1008MHz). Man, that is some fast SDRAM you got there, 160 2-2-2! I thought my Mushkin 150 3-3-3 was fast...
Hey can you tell me what stepping is your P3-1000 (cc0 or cd0)? Also is that a FC-PGA or slot-1? If you have the S-SPEC please post it and...
Go to Intel Supportand get a pinout chart of the CPU to see what signal that pin went to. You might get lucky and it was only a power or ground. There are several dozen of those so it will still work without one. Could also have been an unused pin but not very many of those. If it was an...

Ghost can restore to a different size drive and make it all one partition but you have to use the backup disk option instead of backup partition. Try it again and use backup disk/restore disk options.
For anyone just getting started with Calculus go to the library or look on Amazon and get a text written by Howard Anton. The best author for beginning to advanced calc I have seen and I have read a lot of them. With Anton's text and sufficient desire/motivation you can practically become a...
NT 4 has a limit of 8GB on the C:\ (or Boot) partition. If the boot partition > 8GB NT will not boot. If you have SP4 or higher you can have other partitions larger than 8GB but not the C:\.
Update: Just reread your post and misunderstood your problem... Looks like you are being limited by...
There should be a setting in your BIOS to enable "USB Keyboard Support". After that is enabled you can use the keyboard in DOS, windows safe mode, etc. when windows USB support is not available.
You have to go thru the vendor that sold you the board. Soyo (like most other mobo manufacturers) has a 1 year warranty on their products. I had a Soyo board that I had to RMA after 11 months (extreme overclocking abuse finally killed it). RMA'ed it thru the vendor, no pablem. Had a new one...
Yes, thanks that was a good technical summary of intels quad pumped memory technology. With > 1GHz processors the memory interface is becoming the major bottleneck. This looks promising, monster 3.2 GB/s bandwidth. It would be great to see some DDR and QDR motherboards for P3 1 GHz Coppermines...
I just bought a 128MB stick of their generic "Lifetime warranty" PC133 for $75 and it is rock solid at 133MHz (building a new system have not tried higher yet).
Also, would just like to put in a plug for MWave as a vendor. This place Rocks! I have ordered from them about a dozen times...
I have always had good success with Soyo BX boards at 150 FSB and was wondering if the new 6BA+100 is also good for 150 FSB. Please post your max FSB if you have this board and are running insanely high FSB.
I believe that you need a recent version of Ghost (v6.0+) to image to/from drives of different sizes. Also make sure you are using ghost.exe in Dos mode from a boot floppy.
I use ghost all the time for making backup images of my systems and it works great. To copy an image of a disk (your IBM) to another disk (the maxtor) the drives have to be on separate IDE channels as Toro mentioned. What kind of mobo are you using? It should have 2 IDE ATA/33 channels (Primary...
First time I have done one of these rebate deals. How long does it normally take? I bought a couple of the 10/100 NICs with the $10 off rebate about a month ago, still waiting. This was a great deal, $15.00 - $10.00 (rebate) + tax/shipping. Worked out to around $9.00 each so I bought two. BTW...
