WHY will there be no IAA support for non-raid Canterwood/Springdale systems?!! Is this a huge drawback?!

IC7 SATA Problems: Help!!

I don't know if the IC7 is different than the IS7 but I found on the IS7 when enabling the "onchip" SATA you have to also enable the SATA RAID option even if you are not going to use a RAID array but only one drive on the SATA cable. You also have to be carefull to specify SATA to use IDE3 and 4...

Thanks, I found the folder and files. I'm guessing to restore a new Mozilla installation you just replace the folder created by the installation with the (old) folder you copied from the old system.

Thanks for the replies. I aggree that wiping and re-installing the OS is the best option but then you have to call M$ to activate the new OS, and I've done allready done it a few times in the last 6 months, I woulden't want them to pull the plug on me. - MS

Selling Win XP system, how to change registered name

I'm selling a computer with Win XP Home edition and would like to change the "Registered To" and "Company Name" in the system properties. Some time ago I saw a reg hack that allowed one to modify these values but cannot remember the procedure. Thanks!

CHKDSK and the "Dirty Bit"

Thanks for the link. After reading the info, I came across this: I know the dirty bit is being set but is there a way to deturmine what is setting it, be it changes to the volume or disk corruption or another factor. Knowing this would make troubleshooting the problem easier.

Nforce2 Audio... 4.1 and Line-in?

CPU Idle program for NForce?

I did find a CPU Idle program. After installing and running the program I found no reduction in idle temps. The program throttled the CPU too aggressivly not allowing programs to use 100% of the CPU so I uninstalled it, guess I will just have to put up with the fan noise.

11.29V on +12 rail - time for a new PS?

I've found through some research that most of the current +2200 boxed processors are the A version so try to go with an OEM chip if you can. You should get a better heatsink in any case if you want to overclock and I guess you do if you want a B version
