Isosurface to mesh algorithm(s)

Marching cubes is the algorithm to get a mesh from an isosurface. You might mean marching squares for 2D. Also, Marching tetrahedron is also an algorithm. What is the problem you are having?

Panasonic LX3 v. Canon S90 for the outdoors?

Just to reiterate, the LX3 needs a lens cap and the lens compartment bulges out of the "box". Lens cap is tethered by a string...meaning if it gets snagged on something or breaks, then you are screwed.

Check out "ELSE" (New mobile Linux OS, Access/Emblaze partnership)

Many painting programs have the pivoted/rounded menu already. But they need a working handset (sufficient ram,cpu, etc) to go anywhere.

Is PC gaming more difficult than Console gaming?

I have Racedriver Grid on the PC and recently played the PS3 version. The PS3 version's AI is much weaker and the AI cars blatantly slow down. Crashing with 1 lap to go is impossible to win in the PC version, but in the PS3 I was able to catch up. Maybe it's just me...

What's a good RTS game nowadays?

Sins of a Solar Empire is intriguing and I'm thinking of getting it for Christmas. Dune and Dune 2000 are basic but still fun. Although, don't you get sick of: and the sounds of the peons and other pawns are annoying too...

By the way, does anyone know their policy on the returns? Will they fix my laptop or give me a new one? I would think that they would just refurbish it a bit because the m6809 is no longer sold.

I HATE EA!

Hrmm... Actually, I got BF2 to run on my eMachines m6809 laptop. The game runs at 50+ fps on low settings. I was shocked to get BF2 to run on a laptop video card with only 64MB of RAM. Back to the topic, Dice isn't a full in-house developer for EA. I think they're still in Sweden...

Wifi on Thinkpad/Ubuntu

Hello, I think you need to install the ndis drivers first. Ubuntu detected my Broadcom wireless card (eMachines m6809) and I can't turn on the wireless card. Ndis needs to be installed. I think that's the problem. I have yet to install ndis, by the way.

The wireless is fine with the m6809. Your m6805 should run too. The Broadcom drivers came with x64.
