I am gonna recommend a Core 2 Duo processor to my friend, more specifically an E6400 and I am still a newbie when it comes to Conroe, so was wondering if my below assumptions are correct, Lets say I would want to overclock that E6400 from its default 2.13Ghz to 2.7Ghz. Would that be possible...

MSI K8N Neo platinum weird problem?

Just a quick question, I have a mobo called MSI K8N Neo platinum and in bios my LDT is set at 1X, I was thinking shouldn't this atleast be 5x to get it to 800 instead of 200. Also I have an FSB of 215 so if I set it to 5x then its too much(5*215 = over 1000) so would it be safe to set it at 4x...

Hiya Bjc, what are your running temperatures on your die, idle and when running full load??? Also, so you'r saying my winbond can take that 3.4V easily then, don't wanna cook my Mushkin:)

Ok thnx, and I already own that heatsink, its now cooling my older CPU, a standard 3400+, but gonna sell this one I think and get a venice running at 2.7 something:) So you'r saying I don't even need to tinker with the vcore, just multiplier and fsb settings and off ya go? BTW good point...

NTFS or FAT32

Please for the love of God change to NTFS, its added file security, added stability, larger disks and partitions possible and God knows what else. And no nothing will go wrong, norton should have no problem whatsoever picking up on that ntfs disk, even in dos.
