What's included with the Dell i600m?

Thanks for the heads up. I don't plan on abusing it at all, I'll be getting a backpack with a padded liner compartment. Also I've heard avoiding moving it with the screen by only moving it with the base should alleviate these problems. A T40 would be nice, but not on a student's budget...

i600m only gives 150 minutes of battery life

While I haven't felt an i600m, I can vouch for the D600. It is very light, portable and sturdy.

Leeb00 Just in case you didn't know, you can get an SXGA+ screen (1400x1050) on the Dell i600m. I wasn't sure if you already knew this but just didn't want that high of a resolution on the 14 "screen or you didn't know. MikeD2k3

Dell 600m/D600 Bluetooth Support

I also just noticed that the case quality differs b/w the Dell 600m and Dell D600. I used a D600 the other night and was very impressed. Now I read the 600m isn't as sturdy! Grr! I never thought buying a notebook would be so tedious! Thanks MikeD2k3

Hmm....I had planned on getting the Acer b/c I can get a Best Buy employee discount on it which brings it down quite a bit--but I don't want a low-quality computer. I need my notebook to hold up to 4 years of undergrad. I also just checked on the specs on the 600m..they stopped putting 5400rpm...

What is HD?

When it is said that something is HD, does that only mean it's higher resolution? I know TV is around 320x240, DVD is ~720x720 max. If it's only resolution, how high is the resolution to make it HD? Thanks MikeD
