If I was in the shoes of the 500 employees (assuming I was a union member, which is the only employee that this affects, or didn't you know that? Non union members still get Labor day off) I'd probably think, gee, that's another Union vote I didn't win. Oh well. When's lunchtime?
To think...
I'm from Texas as well, so don't go assuming there are ONLY race bashers here.
Personally, I'd probably like it better if the wife and kids were off on a different day. But if I didn't, I guess I could always go look for another job.
And no one is making the MINORITY number of employees that aren't happy with the change keep their current employment either- if they aren't happy they are free to tear their ass out the door, are they not?
But instead, lets cloud the issue with silly remarks about dropping Xmas or...
No, it's actually about (as per the thread title): Plant Drops Labor Day For Muslim Holiday
First of all, it was YOUR point that it sucked for the employees. Obviously not enough since the majority voted for the switch. I thought that was pretty obvious and logical. How exactly would...
Socio, don't you have some crosses to burn or something?
Your posts do nothing but highlight the backward ass ignorance that still exists in the US, and should make any rational person sad that society as a whole has to put up with idiots like you under our "freedom of speech" concept...
If you're feeling froggy, PCMall has these open box for sale for $302.99, plus about $25 shipping (free ground though AR).
No mention of the rebate on the open box, but assuming the UPC is intact, it should still be valid.
Linky
Saves about $50 more than the "new" price.
You know that if you signed up for a different area code, and you mistakenly use this number to call 911, you're hosed because it goes to a station that doesn't service you??
I believe there was an article in this month's MaximumPC where basically they said if you waited too long to go SLI it wouldn't be worth it, due to the newer models due out the end of 2005...ie one new card might wollup your "old" SLI rig.
QnD
If you can locate a BB w/ stock, you might be able to buy at staples Linky with a coupon and PM- YMMV.
$329.99 - 69.30 (110%) - $30 off $150 = $230.69
QnD
I believe newer chip cards are due out at the end of '05, so you might spend a ton of cash and still be lagging in performance behind the latest, greatest video tech that just a single card might provide.
Just a thought.

Obvious price mistake, here's what I got when I went to check stock in my area:
The Sku Q12-1648 is not available at your location
Q12-1648 $999.99 Automatic Letter Opener, 16-3/4"Wx9-3/4"Dx8-3.4"H, Gray
I picked this up today from BestBuy, they were running a one day 70 MIR on this drive...My local Frys had this in the paper this morning, so I intened to use Amex BVG and get the drive for -$20 when all is said and done.
Good price as is though, with no rebate hassle.
QnD
Typically when someone PM's at Frys, it changes the price in that stores computers for that item so that it automatically rings up @ that price- for a certain period of time.
I'm guessing they do that so they don't continually get dinged on the 10% PM.

I've got a 25pk of Sony DVD+R's I picked up at Staples this past week for $15 that have the vertical UPC, labeled 1-4x that are reading as RICOHJPNR01...the label says they're made in Taiwan...Just an FYI.
QnD
Wow, that's all it OC's to? I got mine from the original BB price mistake, and I've gotten it to OC stable at over the 6800 Ultra OC speeds of 425/1100 with just the original reference HS/Fan.
I'd suggest playing around with it, I think you should have much more headroom than that.
QnD
What makes this somewhat hot is that this card can run at 6800 Ultra speeds or higher and is priced $100 less...without the crazy power requirements.
The online preorder was hotter, @ $299, which is why I'm happy I bought mine then. It's a killer card.

Yes, I want to give my credit card info to a Russian company for a "slicker interface". NOT.
As far as higher quality, I suppose you just have to know where to look.
Let us know how that works out. Many people are reporting getting updates from Gateway stating they won't get their cards until Mid July (that ordered today).
QnD
Yeah, paying $150-$200 more for a possible 1% (since we haven't seen tests with retail Nvidia drivers) difference in benchmarks would be the smart thing to do. LMAO.
This was a smoking deal!!!
He11, I paid $175 for a PNY 5900SE 256mb card (flashed to 5950U) not more than a few months ago!
Well, that's good and bad, I suppose.
To me, this looks more and more like it was a mistake, but BB is going to let everyone who ordered get ONE.
Works for me. That's better than NONE.
QnD
Yes, all three on one order. If I'd ordered across 3 separate orders, they all probably would've gone thru.
Oh well, the office and the kids didn't need a new card anyway. LOL!
UPDATE:
I just received a "cancellation" from BestBuy. However, if you recall I ordered 3 of these cards. What they did was cancel two of them, and left one remaining.
So, chances are if you only ordered one (or one per order) they'll go thru. Best of luck.

Just an FYI- Firingsquad got their non-BFG GT board OC'd to 425m/1.2gb...with only the single molex. That's almost the exact same as the 6800U- and this is a single slot/single molex 16 pipeline DDR3 solution.
Trying to come up with a reason not to jump on this, and the only thing holding me...
Hmmm. Crickets good to terrorize IT down in the basement. IT doesn't like the dark and screams constantly. IT needs to be punished. IT will have fun with crickets. IT puts on the lotion!
IT PUTS ON THE LOTION!!!
Um, only if it's terminated properly, ie to a jack and panel. A patch cord (terminated straight into mod ends) is out of spec if over 15'. Not saying it won't work of course (it will).
While I find it somewhat ironic that you label me "materialistic" in a hot deals forum, I find it sad that you incorrectly call into question my command of the English language ("irregardless" is a word, albeit a slang term.
Dictionary.com) using fragmented sentances and lack of capitalization...
What many people don't seem to comprehend here is that it isn't important what others NEED. I drive what I drive because I can afford it and because I WANT IT.
My wife and I don't need a brand new 2,900 sq. ft 3 bedroom house with a media room and office either (for the two of us), nor the...
Why would you buy this drive as opposed to the Staples 160gb Maxtor 8mb buffer for $89, especially since no where on this page does it state it is a retail drive?
