Enabling external graphics on G45

No dice, there isn't an option to disable it there. I do see some options under chipset configuration, but I only see options for enabled 32mb, enabled 64mb and enabled 128mb, no option to disable.

Intel E7200, comparable to what AMD cpu?

According to this recent article the AMD quads use a lot more power than 45nm Intel quads. Unless your building a 2S or especially 4S server, where AMD still has a major architectural advantage, there is basically no reason to go AMD.

And that's theoretical speed, GbE actually comes closer to its theoretical max than USB does in practice, so the actual disparity may be even higher. I should point out that for file transfers, disk speed is going to limit you before network throughput until you start getting into RAID0 or 5/6...

Is there any reason you wouldn't get an SSD if price were no object

Hypothetically, if you had unlimited funds, is there any reason you wouldn't outfit your laptop with a Memoright GT SSD (currently fastest)? The performance seems pretty great, in some random write heavy stuff it's not really better than a standard HDD, but it's better at everything else...

Antenna is only gonna get you over the air broadcast channels. Cable channels require cable (or sat/fios/whatever you have). Animal Planet/Discovery are not free, the networks are.

The only issues I've seen with mine are 1. Crysis won't read in the drive because of drm, but that seems physical not because of data. 2. Generic dos optical drivers for mscdex dont work, which is irritating when trying to do a bios flash.

I've never used a ups (well not one designed for a single desktop, only datacenter level) so I can't help you there. I can tell you an average desktop (with integrated video) only draws 50-75 watts at idle and 100-150 at load, so 300w output is plenty, even with plenty of extra drives.

I had this problem with the Crysis demo. Launch the game, wait for all the movies to run through, then when the menu screen is loaded press alt-enter and quit the game. It stated fullscreen from then on for me.
