XP pro boot problems- pauses before desktop for 90 seconds

uninstalling Nvidia Network Access Manager didn't help. Neither did disabling the onboard NIC in BIOS. Any other ideas?

Ive got the onboard NIC enabled, but I havent had a cable connnected in over year. Oh and my profile is inaccurate, my overclock is currently minimal, only at 1.89. But I will try your suggestion greylica.

hmm. thanks for the replies. Im not showing any network component problems in device manage. And reinstalling the chipset drivers should have taken care of that, I would have thought anyway. And Ive made sure there is no media in my drives, flash drives are unplugged, etc. The odd...

I dont get anything at all. I even browsed to c:\Windows/explorer.exe and nothing and explorer isnt listed in the 'processes' section of task manager also, I just noticed that in Safe Mode, I can type explorer in the 'new task' run line and it does load explorer. But it...

tell that to the reviewers. I read more than one that used actual 12v pumps. I wouldnt have bought it otherwise.

ya. that is what it is. It uses either the power out of the WOL connector or an ATX bypass connector that gives you 5v after the system is shut down. The reviews I read said that it worked fine, for both fans and pumps. Just cant get mine to do anything. Might be dead.

water cooling an Nforce3 and G6600

Wish I would have paid better attention to board layout on this Asus Nforce 3 board. Northbridge is in an awkward place for a watercooler. Its right behind the AGP slot. But then I get this XFX G6600 and there is no way to use my Danger Den Maze 4 cause I would have to mount it at an angle...

How well grounded do you need to be when putting a computer together?

Ive been building pc's for years and never had a problem. And Im always on carpet. Im sure someone is making good money off of the grounding straps.
