well thats not working, firefox is set as the default browser, yet when i click links in emails through outlook 2003 IE still pops up. thats why i was asking if i could uninstall it. or maybe if theres a reg. edit i can do?

I have been using the Regsvr32 /u mydocs.dll command for a while but I notice that they come back everytime i do something in msconfig or anything like that. is there a way to auto unload them at startup? autoexec.bat or somethin?

Hey guys, how do you do a clean install of WinXP from DOS. I just formatted a HD and I dont want to have to set up 98 then XP. When I type setup.exe it says "this program cannot be run in MS-DOS mode"

my question is...isnt xp only able to install from 95 or higher? or will it install from dos?

Just curious, what are some of your guys favorites utilities, wether they be something like TweakUI, a virus/trojan scanner, popup stopper, any type of utility?
I used TweakUI, RegCleaner, Popup Stopper, and Im looking for the best virus scanner..
so i just formatted my hd and installed xp again...i got sick of it...but there was nothing on my computer that was important anyway. now i stayed away from all the tweaks i wasnt sure what they did, and its working great.

true, it would be better to find out what is causing this problem...but when i got to admin tools / performance....and i go to expand the performance logs and alerts...it tells me
"This service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices with it"
