I got in on this deal and I am not crazy about trying the Rebate route either. I should have asked when I picked it up to have the rebate applied immediatley.

These are available locally ... Just call your local Staples ... I called Staples.com inquiring about the rebate and was told however that the website was a misprint and the CSR gave no indication that this $100.00 rebate would be honored.

I didn't ... picked up 2 of each and there were at least 4 others in stock at just that one store.
I am sure I will need to activate them to get service.
If it is not showing in stock on the regular Office Depot site call the 800 number and see if any are available in your area. Give the SKU and price should ring 33.22. Don't go through the wireless store or you pay a higher price. (Still discontinued as specified by the .88 but .22 is better) :)...
