Cannon iP6600D Problem

This is a brand new printer, but it seems as though as soon as the printer goes to "sleep" mode to save power, it never comes back online. The lights will turn back on but it never reconnects to the computer. The only solution thus far has been to restart the computer. Any ideas? I've tried...

MSI K8N SLI Boot problem

I had a similar issue with my Neo3 board. If I installed the drivers out of order, the system would lock up when windows booted. After a lot of trial and error I found this order was best: 1. One-Touch Setup (MOBO Drivers) 2. Video card drivers 3. GART drivers 4. Any remaining drivers

MPEG Movie File Skips Around

I have an old family movie in MPEG format, and it's about 125 mb's large, and I know it's almost 20 minutes long. However when I open it in any kind of video player it says it's only 1 min 50 sec long. When I try to fast forward, it will skip around 5 or 7 minutes, but only have gone 10 seconds...

I am undergoing a project and could use anyones saved games for any game no matter what part of the game it is. Please zip or rar all the save game files from the same game into one file (it'd be nice if they were zipped with the name of the game, since most saved games have the same file name)...

It keeps crashing whenever I use a CD copy program, like Nero or DVDShrink. I can't figure this crap out. This is really frustrating and shouldn't happen with a brand new system.

Applying Arctic Silver Adhesive to Northbridge Heatsink

Isn't that a thermal pad? The same thing that goes on the CPU heatsinks? It looks like it was only touching the small metal part in the middle. Put adhesive there and take off the pink pad.

According to the manual: 4 Red = CPU is damaged or not installed properly. 4 Green = Operating System Booting The first one, you're screwed. Second one, reformat.

Go into Start --> Run --> dxdiag Then go to the Display tab. Are all the options enabled? (Especially AGP texture accelleration, which can reveal that your GART drivers are not working properly)

Your suggestion of DCOMBOBulator has been taken, and the DCOM service has been shut down. My computer rebooted fine and it's working okay. Only time will tell if the issue is gone. I'll report back my findings.

Bios settings are set to aperature 128 and 4x. However, I grabbed my original mobo CD and installed the Intel Chipset thing, and it seems to be working correctly now. I'll see if the tests work now.

Intel or AMD? The Battle Rages On...

I think that the AMD is severely crippled by it's limiting FSB, being stuck at 333 while intel blazes on an 533 and beyond. DDR is virtually useless with AMD's, and is a waste of money. AMD needs to start changing their battle plan.
