ipod Nano flash memory made into a USB drive: feasible?

But it wouldn't be very fun to walk over to the store and buy one :P I'm thinking the easiest way would be to try removing the memory from the spare flash drive and somehow swap the ipod NAND flash with the existing thumb drive's memory . As to how hard this would be, or potential problems...

Q6600 at 80c load? Help!

Okay so i messed around the G33M bios, apparently I'm having the opposite end from yours sniperdaws. By setting the vcore to 1.1 in bios, it's actually a lot lower (about 1.056 in cpuz) and strangely enough the temps are about the same. I had to set it to about 1.23 in BIOS to get 1.1. I can...

Q6600 at 80c load? Help!

The voltage bounces between 1.12v and 1.2v in cpuz. That sounds about right, I think.

Wow what a difference! It's lowered the temps across all four cores by more than 10c. Load on prime05 running for an hour is 69C, as opposed to the 81C. It's idling at about 46C, very acceptable for a cramped mATX :D The FX121 crossflow fan i bought today barely squeezed into the case, and...

Q6600 at 80c load? Help!

I'm not sure what's going on but I just made a new system and the g0 q6600 at stock speeds is running at 80c load under prime95. 70-75c with bioshock maxed out. I reseated the cpu and heatsink but it's reading the same temps. Right now the comp is idling at 55-60c. I'd say the average is...

Samsung 710T

Looked around a bit more, found out that yes, the 710T does in fact produce 24 bit color unlike the 172X. Hardforums has quite a lot of feedback on the 172Xs and 710Ts (Nice posts in both forums, Excelsior). For me, I'm dropping my money for the 710T. Yay, my first new LCD monitor in 7 1/2 years :D

Getting a new LCD monitor

Seems like a lot of people are jumping onto a gaming LCD lately. I'm one of them. I got a 7 year old NEC LCD, and I'm looking for a replacement. Dells look good for the price, except they got a big, ugly dell logo on them :D 172X looks like the best gaming monitor with its 12ms response time...

Video Card Noise

Sounds like your fan is dying too. My northbridge fan is about that small, and it also makes that whiny noise which I'm going to fix with a waterblock. Heatpipes should do the job, just make sure they're big enough and have enough W's of dissipation for the job of cooling your vid card...

horrible buzzing sound: speaker problem?

Sounds like EM (Electromagnetic) interference. Put your speakers and sub away from anything else that's electrical, like your monitor, microwave, refrigerator, and the like. That's all I can think of.

Sound level of 120mm fans???

Sunon fans are pretty quiet, at least less than 30 dBs. I'm not sure if Silenx makes 120mm fans, but if they do, they are probably equal to or quieter than the Panaflos. EDIT: sorry meant voltage-dropped Sunons!

Halo is running slowly @15 fps with an geforceFX?!

Yeah I disabled AA and fog table emulation on his computer....seems to be running somewhat tolerable now at high res (800x600 and above) Halo runs fine on my water cooled Radeon 9800 pro on max settings though. =)

My friend has a geforce fx, I'm not exactly sure what model it is, but he runs any other game very smoothly. He has a p4 2.4 and 512 mb of PC 2700 RAM. From what I've seen in the posts, it should be running okay at 800x600. I'm thinking it's either the drivers, or the dual monitor setup...

My Comp is too noisy...

Cause no one said it yet: SILENX FANS!!! I just got 2, and I can barely hear them after putting my ear 2-3 inches away from them. They are a bit expensive, but I think they're well worth the money. Plus they got temperature monitors too.

BIOS and HD problems on the IS7-G / seagate V

I just updated to the lastest BIOS for the IS7-G, and now whenever my comp starts up, it doesn't see the Seagate Barracuda V 80gb SATA. However, when I hit Cntrl alt del, the hard drive shows up and I boot Windows normally. Also whenever I try overclocking my cpu, or changing any other setting...

Okay I got my Waterchill up and running, and I hooked up a dual CCFL UV light I picked up from Frozencpu.com. I then opened up a brand new bottle of Blue UV dye, also from frozencpu.com. I added a few drops of the dye into the resevior, and it turned the water blue (slightly glowing). I mean...
