you should have more space on your drive, and let windows manage your virtual memory click start | run type cleanmgr and press enter select drive C clean all unused options, and press ok

Beginners Linux

fedora is fine, and faster than redhat 9. not so buggy as people imagine. but just like redhat, you'll have to instal some rpm to play mp3 and access ntfs drives. if you just want to try a little, use knoppix 3.2

to retrieve password : if you use grub as loader , from grub chose linux and then press "e", then you'll find three line, move cursor to second line, then press "e" add space and number one like this " 1" then press enter, finally press "b" to boot. now you'll get yourself powerfull...

If you use NTFS Encryption, read this

I never use any additional encription on NTFS partition, just as it is. Till now, if my win$ screwed, I use linux to recover files (unencrypted files). Does anyone know, is linux able/unable to recover encrypted files ?

great VGA8X for tight budget

I've just upgraded my PC with Abit SR7-8X and PIV-2,4G and they work great together. But my GF4MX420 4x is really choking the performance. Please give me recommendation for great VGA8X with price range from $100 - $200 ?

Thanks for the advice. I'll try Mac and start to dump my MS. What about the combination of TCPA mobo (with special controller chip which will fully controls the CPU) with non-TCPA hardware. Will they run normally ?

I'm having a brain fart (long, tiring weekend) How do I force an image to fit to page?

I would manually use ms-excell to edit a page with many picture (use insert picture). effective for small projects, big one will be too tiresome. does anyone know better option ?

How to clean keyboards?

I've cleaned my keyboard and the only pain is put back the rubber pad/spring to the board (about 5 minutes "hard work"), not the keys. You don't have to disassemble all keys, it will be useless. Just unscrew, collect the rubber pad with paper, use dry brush / vacuum cleaner for lower side, then...

Thanks for the information. I heard that hammers will be released this year. Mine XP2000+, and considering to upgrade. If bartons don't perform any better then T'bred, I will not switch to Barton and just wait for those hammers. But, what mainboard spec it'll need?

mine psu doomed, and it doesnt take long to detect. I use other psu and other cpu, connect them crossedly, and bingo. you'll know which's the a$$ If there's no other unit, use mr IronWoode suggestion.

Fast 20GB ATA/100 drives?

higher density means more bits read per area, at the same rpm means more bits per minute covered. so why spending money for older hd, if the newer cost you just a very little more.
