Colin McRae Rally 3 problem

I bought this game around 2 days ago. When I installed it, the game just returns to my desktop right after opening screen (or sometimes the opening video). I was able to run it properly after I installed and played my other game (MotoGP 2). But after that, the game (CMR3) repeats its problem...

Q on Palomino OCing

Help! VERY wierd problem. My LCD (DVI) won't work without something connected to the VGA. What's Going On???

maybe your LCD is declared as secondary monitor. You may adjust this setting in the nview options of the detonator drivers.

ATI 8500 LE or ATI 8500 OEM or Geforce3 Ti200

I think it depends on what cpu you have. If you have a fast one (around 2ghz up), then choose the original radeon 8500. Otherwise just get the gf3. Thats just my opinion..

Why do most NForce 2 Mobos have some other 6 channel chip rather than use the Nvidia Audio?

OT: I even prefer my old Soundblaster AWE64 (ISA card) than the on-board sound of my relatively new KT400.

Considering your system specs. Here's what you can do. Try running your GF4 on battlefield 1942 / MOHAA: spearhead (both only on medium settings), then see if your system really is worthy of your 3dmark score.

Should I replace my KT400 to an nforce2?

UT2K3 help please

If you're using WinXP pro, make your video card undetected by windows, then install your new drivers. You can check if your card is undetected in device manager w/c can be found when you execute the 'system' icon in the control panel or by simply right clicking "my computer"

Unreal 2

What soundcard do you have? Im at 512mb already but still doesnt work either. Since I have an sb live so maybe this game only supports 'EAX advanced HD' (for audigy series).

Yeah.. this game exits whenever I enable EAX. That was the reason I had problems with this game. Since my sb live drivers are new, Ill just wait for a patch to enable it. Maybe this game doesnt run EAX if you only have 256mb of ram. Ill find it out tomorrow after i install my additional dimms.

I cant believe that a part of the minimum requirements of this game must have 256mb of RAM. In fact I couldnt run this game w/ my 256mb DDR on default settings. I tried disabling all of my system trays w/c only had volume, anti-virus, and activesync but still the game exits whenever I start...

What type of stuttering? Is it because of harddisk loading during gameplay? Check if your hdd led rapidly blinks during gameplay. If it does, try defragging your harddrive. I believe this game doesnt really require you to have 512mb of RAM unlike UT2003, BF1942, NOLF2, etc. Anyway if its not...

Leadtek GF2 Ti video out.

Use the dongle that it came with. If you dont know what it is, its a connector that has two ends on the other side. One for composite, one for s-video. Then just configure the rest in nview setup of the detonator drivers.

Need help w/ buying TV tuner card

Some of the additional features between TV tuners are the ff: 1. Stereo sound reception 2. Hardware compression video capture ( works better in slower systems ) 3. Software bundle These are some of the things that makes other tuners expensive.

dx7 games slow on dx9!!!

maybe you shouldnt have installed dx9 in the first place since there are no games yet which supports it. In my personal opnion, dont download directx coz it bundled with our games. Unless you REALLY want to play a demo game that needs it. Anyway I dont know if this problem is experienced by most...

8X AGP vs 4X AGP transfer rates?

I think the teeth of an 8x is different from 4x. But im not that sure. Anyway, 8x is insignificant in a "4x" generation card. An example of this is the original Geforce and i think even the tnt2. A 4x card w/c was built in "2x" times. But look at it through the years, these cards didnt performed...

I dont know if my system is normal. But it seems that everytime I update my detonator drivers whether beta or not, I always get a higher score. Even before when I had a different card from what I have right now. Maybe its has something to do as to how I manage my system. Oh by the way my 3dmark...
