Thanks for the stats Josh, your efforts are appreciated. For the stats-deprived, you could try Dyyryath's stats for TA. Not as pretty as the old Extreme Overclocking site (which I suspect has gone down due to bandwidth charges) but most of the info is there.

As they say....plus it's worth checking back in your log. I once had a faulty WU which sent the client into a "download new core then crash" cycle, after N attempts it went into a "sleep mode".

Since I put -advmethods on the end of my command line I have had nothing but GROMACS. And recently I have had about 15 of those p542 33 pointers on the trot. Before that it used to alternative with the p537s (18 points).

As mgpaulus says, please post the log - before you do that make the client print the queue information (right click for the GUI, not sure about the others). When the client prints the queue info, it also gets written into the log. Probably best to just post one log to start with, as they can be...

I hate to point this out Josh, but there is a problem with these stats :( Yesterday (the 9th) my total production was 1785, today it is 1863 - a difference of more than the 19 shown.

OH NO, my LAPTOP is DYING... Please help me diagnose the PROBLEM!!!

In laptops there is a ribbon cable connecting the video card to the LCD. I've seen a couple of them fail and give problems very similar to yours. Try opening the case and checking the seating of the cable. I've had one replaced under warranty, but dunno if they are purchasable.

Orion7144, Did you add the -advmethods switch at the end of the program invocation (the shortcut in the Startup group and the Folding@Home folder?) Will give you a big boost in points on that P4 and a smaller boost on the Athlons.

Ah, I see. All my folders were blue, though. It seems if you have "remember my login" checked it doesn't work. When I explicitly logged out and back in, then they went yellow.

best not biased site to follow the war?

Just discovered this thread, and I must say I am quite dismayed to see the BBC recommended as a source of "unbiased" news. That may have been true once upon a time (caveat meaning of unbiased) but is most certainly is not any more. As a Brit, let me tell you that the BBC is stuffed to the gills...
