I have a Panaflo 120 x 38 mm medium speed fan and this more or less filled in the space between the 2 heat sinks and this made a lot of air flowing noise. I did not try attaching one more fan from above pushing air onto the Ultra-120 heat sink... will try that the next time I turn the heat sink...
This is what I did for a while - I had the HR-03 PLUS riding piggy back on the 8800 without a fan and I attached a fan to the Ultra-120 which blew air onto the HR-03 PLUS heat sink. The single 120mm fan did the job of cooling both the CPU and the 8800 card. This was not keeping CPU or 8800 temps...
I have a 8800GTS and I have the Thermalright HR-03 PLUS and this heat sink with a Vantec 3000RPM fan has reduced the GFX cards temp by 13C

I have a Samsung ML 1610 Laser printer and if I dont print for about 3 weeks then it will print in streaks till I remove the Toner cartrige and shake it. After I remove the Toner cartridge it is quite difficult to re-insert it again :(
You get an RPM reading from your Antec PSU fan !! Which mother board do you use ? I dont get a PSU Fan RPM reading from my TruePower480 and ASUS P4C800ED board combination. I have tried all the 3 fan headers on the board.
I have the all CU version and I live in the tropics in a coastal city where the humidity levels are high. Within 3 months of installing the 7000 cu it started to flake - it was snowing copper flakes inside my case - there were thousands of small copper pieces all over the display and sound cards...
I got in touch with the local importer of Antec products and he said "thats the way it is supposed to run". I suppose Antec have to make sure the fans last for the 3 year warranty period thats why they are made to run SLOW. :D
I could never get this 3 pin connector to give me any readings. I have an Antec True480 PSU and ASUS P4C800ED board. I tried my best but the BIOS never showed any reading by using this connector. If you get any reading from this connector I would like to know what it says.
I have the Antec True480 PSU and I have measured the Fan Only connectors voltage at 4.7v with a digital voltmeter and it never seems to go up even tho I am in hot climes and the room temperature is about 33C,
The PSU's Fan rotates so slow that the MoBo does not show the RPM for the PSU fans...
I agree with this. I have 5 year old AS2 and 3 year old AS3 as well as AS5 which I have stored in the Fridge with the nozzles pointing down and they are all OK to use.
I have both the Intellimouse 3 and the MX500. I prefer the Logitech - better feel on the buttons and seems smoother on mouse pad. More buttons on the Logitech makes for great options at the touch of a button :D
Check out the article at Tom's Hardware - he shows the screw and weight on this page for the MX500 mouse. The weight is also there on the other mice shown in this article.
MX500 screw and weight
I use the Logitech MX500 mouse and find it a wee bit heavy - there is a metal weight inside the mouse held by a screw - remove this weight and the mouse gets very light and nice for gaming.
I thought so too. But a friend who wants to do this says he only gets the option for raid 0. I asked him to flash the newest BIOS ver 1014 and try again. He does not know what ver of BIOS is installed on his MoBo - must be the one which came with the board :)
I have a M$ MM Natural Keyboard and I clean the keytops and parts around it with Amway's Zoom cleaner, diluted as recommended. Makes the Keyboard look good as new.
Dont boot into XP when you attach the cloned Drive - instead boot from XP CD and run a repair install on the cloned drive. This repair install should be done from the second time XP asks if you want to run a repair - the first time it asks this questio is when it has the option to run the...
Thats right !! But from the latest BIOS just released ASUS have stopped the USB beeps - THANK GOD !!! I have 3 USB devices and I used to get 3 beeps on every boot on my P4C800-E Deluxe.
You have cold problems and here in India we have heat and humidity problems. I had a major problem with the computer the last monsoon (June-Sept) there was so much humidity in the air that the sides of the case was damp to touch. On one day due to the moisture the computer got a short circuit...
Recently a friend called me over because his computer kept hanging. I suspected that there must be dirt on the heat sink so I checked for this and was shocked to see that all the area between the Intel P3 stock heat sink's fins were totally blocked by so much dirt that it had caked up and become...
When I saw this same message on a friends new computer where XP was being installed I copied this file from the root directory from my computer to his and all was fine.
If I am not mistaken this is a hidden and read only attributed file. Copy it friom another computer with XP after changing...
80009 is not the BIOS number but the BIOS part no or model no.(?)
The BIOS version cannot be seen in CPU-Z. You will see the BIOS version on boot if you disable the Full Screen Logo in the BIOS.
DIVX was were I saw the MAX difference between the AMD and the P4. My 2000+ AMD was way slower than the P4 2.4C The AMD just did not have the power of the P4. Like I said above it was 32 fps against 60fps. I agree I have a faster P4 CPU but the difference is still quite a lot.
My case has 5 extra fans which keeps the CPU cool enough. I have a case temp of 33C and a CPU idle temp of 36C - on full load the CPU touches 50C.
I called my Ti card ancient because it is the bottle neck in my computer. Anything that is display card depended runs a bit slow. But DIVX has gone...
OK done it. Makes a difference . Thanks. I had all sorts of settings switched on to make XP "look good". But this lag did not bother me at all.
I think the P4C800 Deluxe with the 2.4C is really a great combo. I find it really fast and problem free. I have tweaked the BIOS as best I can - I...
Just my $0.02 -
2 weeks back I changed from an ASUS A7V333 with a 2000+ to the ASUS P4C800 Deluxe Rev2 (non E) with a 2.4C @ 3.0. (the E version is not available here at the moment)
The difference in the speeds is tremendous - I find things really move FAST - all programs run faster and my...

I think I will now ask the UPS question for which I have been wanting an answer for a long time..... everybody laughs at this question.
I have an APC 650 BackUPS Pro. If the power gets low can I plug the output of the UPS into its Input and get it to charge itself ??
I found I got better refresh rates when I installed my monitor's drivers. There is also the matter of loading up the monitor's colour profile which would install with the driver.
