    Not in Ohio. We don't have to pick a party in Ohio when we register. The only time we become aligned in a party is after we vote in our first primary.

    Nothing to improve. Counting all votes, if they are closer then the number of provisional ballots, the results will wait. If the vote margin between the 2 is larger then the number of PVs, then they don't need to worry about it. Simple math, and working fine.

    If Kerry wins Ohio, and takes Wisconsin and Michigan as well, he'll have 268 votes. If Bush takes Iowa, New Mexico, and Nevada..he'll be at 266. That would make Hawaii the deciding factor with its 4 electoral ballots.

    Columbus and Cleveland have yet to report. 83% reported. 51%-48% Bush. Local news from Ohio. Right now, there are more provisional votes then the difference between the canditates. If this doesn't change, Ohio won't be settled until next week.

    I'm for Bush, but Ohio can't be called yet. Votes are not done yet, and provisional and oversea ballots won't be counted until 10 days after the election. However, if the results from today show a Bush win with more votes then there a total number of prov/oversea ballots, they won't be counted.

    Actually, Ohio is not even done voting yet. Local news here said that a few areas ran out of ballots, and they are sending more up at this moment. There were some parts of Ohio that had 7 hour waits.
