well I guess it was the router although I tried a couple days ago without the router and still no go. I restored the router to factory defaults, rebooted a few things and away I went. thank you guys for your assistance. scott

yes I can access my banking I was able to access yahoo and netzero till about a week ago, now every time I try to log on I get "the page cannot be displayed" I'm begining to think it's somehow caused by my ISP thanks scott

Hi I'm having trouble logging into all of yahoo and also netzero email. I have two computers on my home network and can't get in from either one. I used a computer at work and can get right into both of them. anybody ever heard of this? thanks scott:o

BIOS update help

ok I figured it out had to get a different flash.exe and run from hard drive worked so well, I flashed 4 different bios's until I got the one I wanted thanks for the tips scott

ok I looked in BIOS for something to disable or enable, nothing there I tried entering the .rom file name after the ami.exe, with a space, and nothing, well actually I got the same errror. I shall try the disable BIOS cache thanks and keep the ideas coming scott

I'm trying to flash the BIOS on a ECS K7S5A, boot from floppy, try to run ami818.exe, tells me chipset/flash part isn't available. the function will be invalid any help, please? thanks scott

Does unused thermal paster expire?

I replace cpu's and heatsinks so much it doesn't matter, my RS paste never has time to get hard and crack:) On mom's puter though, I had some RS heatsink paste that was 3 years old and just like the day I put it on there. scott

Abit KT7 - Two attempts to boot...

I cured mine by going into BIOS and setting the boot drive to "AUTO" instead of letting the detect and put in the settings and now it works perfectly.

Has anyone seen a SIS 730S chipset board on the market yet?

Abit KT7 - Two attempts to boot...

Wow, I have the exact same problem with my KA7 and Athlon 650. I don't think it's the PSU either, I've had Duron at a gig and other Athlons at various speeds, including with this motherboard and never had this problem until I got this CPU? I'll try the I/O voltage thing, any other suggestions...

What is the best Mobo / Duron in terms of MHZ to overclock???

I have the KT7 abit in my computer. I just built my Dad a new puter yesterday with the K7T Pro2 from MSi, I was amazed at this board and well everything went, I have yet to overclock it, I was undecided if I wanted too? but I haev to deliver this on the 23rd so I better get going soon. scott

Drilling a hole in a pentium pro for a key chain - help

I tried the exact same thing with one of the PPro 180's I bought off the sale/trade forum, I didn't even put a dent it the dam thing. I tried using a Dremmel and a $13 bit I got for it, I don't remember what it was made of, all it did was scratch it..sorta scott

ram prob. Help!!

yep I have the same problem with mine I got 1 128mb micron and 1 256mb Texas Instraments I can run each one alone just fine but if I put them both in I get errors, so I just put the 128mb stick on the shelf, saving it for later I guess? scott

Line Noise on my 2 phone lines at home, what can i do to stop it?

most often the phone company will use the same line for two lines in a home. tele wire is 4 wire cable, standard phone only uses 2 wires, they can wire a second line and still use only one line, this usually doesn't hurt anything though. What is most likely you're problem is the phone company...

you got any heatsink compound on that cpu? If you just got a pad or something, scrape it off and get some heatsink compound from radio schack. scott

Anyone with the Abit KT7 and a weird floppy problem?

I had a little problem with my floppy when I first set up my system. I had a LS120 installed too, I had to remove the LS120 to get my regular floppy to boot. I haven't had any trouble since I took out the LS120

Duron multiplier....

it's just luck of the draw I've seen posts at amdzone about 600's that had a hard time running 700 stable, I got lucky with mine at gig at 1.75volts.

KT133A , I dont get it ? please answer

my KT7 non-raid tells you what the pci divider is with each increment in FSB speed. example 100/33 101/33 102/34 and so on, I would think the raid does this also? when you get too 133 it starts over at 133/33 134/33 135/34 and so on of coarse my board won't go over 105, so it doesn't really...

With the introduction of VIA KT133A north bridge, can we FSB overclock 100MHz Athlons easily?

yes I've seen a couple reviews where they overclocked regular Duron 600's to 133fsb 800mhz! one of them even had a 600Duron running 140fsb. I can't wait, I want one now:)
