PC3500 or PC3700?

I'm trying to decide between getting 2x512 of OCZ PC3500 (CL2) or 2x512 of Winbond (not Twinmos) PC3700 (CL 2.5). I know the OCZ can OC pretty well, but does anyone know about the Winbond PC3700 chips? I am running a P4 2.4B on a Sis 655 SINXP1394.

Found an old SCSI card...

At work, we were throwing away some old equipment when I noticed an old PCI SCSI controller. Looked it up and turns out it is an Advansys 3925 Fast SCSI controller. Since I know almost nothing about SCSI, I was wondering what I could use this for, if anything.

Should I reinstall OS after changing mobo?

I'm currently running a P4 2.4B@ 2.8 on an Asus P4PE. I'll be switching it to a Gigabyte GA-8SQ800 soon and was wondering if I shoudl re-install Windows XP after switching the mobo. I'm assuming I should since it's running a different chipset, right?

Intermittent pops from my Z-560's

What sound card/mobo do you have? Does it ever pop before it boots to Windows, or only when you are in it? If it occurs at regular times and happens outside of Windows, it might be radio interference. I have an Audigy 2 and every 10-15 minutes there was this popping sound- it sounded like...

Trying to Set-Up HD w/ SATA Converter

I have almost the exact same setup as you. 2.4B@ 2.8 running on a P4PE with 2 Maxtor 160GB and 2 SIIG SATA connectors. What SATA connectors are you using? I had many problems getting RAID to run but finally I managed to configure the array, but I got a blue-screen when trying to install WinXP...

I flipped the cables a million times last night. I even borrowed a friend's cable to make sure it wasn't bad, but the drive just doesn't work at all. When it's plugged in the wrong way, the light will stay on, but when it is inserted the right way, the light will be off, but the motherboard...

AGP->PCI converter: does it exist?

Hi, I have a couple of old video cards that I would like to hook up for a dual-monitor setup. Problem is, they are all AGP and my AGP slot is already filled. Is there a converter that will run an AGP card through a PCI slot?

Pin broke- ok to overclock?
