Worth upgrading from the MX700 to the MX1000?

The sidescrolling wheel button is really handy, especially if you work a lot with big excel files. Otherwise though while the 1000 is generally better in all other ways (ie shape, charging), it's not a night and day thing. They are both great mice.

If it isn't enough, adding a fan dropped down to 5V would help substantially, and many fans are close to silent at that voltage. I was considering getting a Zalman system for my Leadtek 4200, (which has a large heatsink as standard) but changing the fan voltage to 5v was enough by itself, it is...

A Geforce MX w/64 MG and Twin View!!!...what do you think?

evga.com listed a problem with their MX card DVD out being the Brooktree chip version before Jan 2001. There is no fix but cards with the later chip # are fine. Maybe the same thing as MX cards don't seem to vary that much.

I know the normal Celerons will work on this board with a slotket adapter and a bios upgrade, but will this work with the new Celerons?
