    For the price range and 4dr sedan, I'd take a VW Passat TDI or an Audi A4 1.8T(base). If you want the extra room and fuel economy than the Passat with TDI is better. If you want a sedan with a little sport the A4 1.8T is better.

    Smaller gas tanks is looking like a valid solution. Makes little sence(for most people) to have 12 gallons sitting around not getting used, and which are getting VERY costly to fill. I think for most average sedans, a 6-8 gallons tank is better than the 12-18 gal.
