Hi Guys,
I would need to access a server from 3 different co puters, obviously not at the same time. If I get a single user CAL, would I need to log out of my desktop before I can access the server from my laptop?
Hi Guys,
I have a drive which runs a software which uses SQL.
Any way that I can schedule a backup of this to an external USB drive on a daily basis? I was told that the SQL is running all the time, so it will not allow it's files to be copied so this kind of a back up is not possible?
Hi Guys,
I run [I'm the doctor, so IT knowledge is poor] a small hospital with about 10 computers. We have a hospital management software that till date was running on a Win 10 PC that was accessed by the other computers by a LAN.
AT most 2-3 computers would be accessing the software at a...
Thanks guys.
I don't mind lossless at all. I am currently using a Panasonic DVR with a HDD for capture and then copying the files to a DVD, but the built in DVD drive is having problems, so am looking to change.
Hi Guys,
I need to capture videos of my surgeries.

I was planning to buy this...
Hi Guys,
I used to have a Seagate GoFlex NAS a while ago. It's been disconnected for months now, but everytime I launch Chrome I get this error message.
I have deleted all GoFlex software and files and also there is no plugin or extension related to Goflex in my Chrome [as far as I know]...
Hi guys,
Suggestions for good free/paid software that would allow me to hide my IP address?
Or rather help me get a US IP. I view some sports [cycling] online videos which do not open if IP is Indian.
Help again guys. We have about 8 computers on a network. The hospital software runs on the server. Each computer has a desktop shortcut for the software. Till yesterday, I could click on it and it would open almost instantaneously. Today on a couple of computers, it takes almost a minute to...
Hi Guys,
New here but need some help.
Looking at a monitor to view my laparoscopic surgery on. The older monitors that people would swear by were the u2410, and later the u2413.
Now I'm looking at a 27". Which would be along the lines of the above? The u2713 or the u2713HM?
From what I have...
Yes, this is way beyond my capabilities. I'm talking to a networking consultant tomorrow. 80 percent of my patients are in the IT field [this is Bangalore, India], and one disgruntled patient can screw up my stuff I guess.
Sorry guys for the delay.
Here is what I did today. Created a 'Homegroup' and got a pw generated from the control panel. Left all drives to non sharing status, except one drive on the server computer which hosts the main hospital software.
GOing to test now whether I can plug in to a LAN port...
Hi Guys,
Noob here so please bear with me.
Just set up a data cabling in my new hospital building. Have incoming broadband to a router which is connected to a switch [I think that's what it is called, and is being installed today]. From there I have cabling to 14 point in the building...
Hi guys,
Am getting some hospital management software installed, and they want me to get Win 7. My vendor is suggesting that I buy Win 8 and then downgrade to Win 7. So few questions:
1. Any point in above exercise?
2. If I buy Win 7 - should I buy 32 or 64 bit?
3. I am seeing Win 7 Pro...
Last few days my Dell Vostro 1200 has a problem. When I run it on just the mains with the battery disconnected, it runs fine, but when I plug in the battery the light on the power adapter goes off and the battery does not charge.
It runs then on the battery till the battery runs out I guess...
Hi,
A friend wants to run a second monitor along with a wireless KB and mouse at about 9 feet distance from his CPU. Do you get DVI/VGA cables of this length or can you use multiple extensions? Would the image deteriorate?
Thanks for any help.
Deepak
For realtime online backup syncplicity is fabulous. If you do decide on it could you let me mail you an invite? I get extra space then. BTW it works great.
Hi,
I have a Dell Vostro 1200 which is fine when by itself but when I set it up with an external monitor and 3 ext HDD thru a hub I have a problem that it keeps 'waking up' from sleep. After a lot of searching I found that this is probably related to the USB ports which are not powering off...
Hi Guys,
I have a Dell Vostro 1200 with the Intel 965 with built in graphics. I was looking at buying a 24" 1920*1200 monitor as an external monitor and found that the card supports only 1600*1200 OR 1920*1440.
Now I find that its a known issue with this board. Is there any solutiion...

Hi guys,
For the last 4 years or so I have been using two 19" LCDs as a dual monitor set up and just love it. Am now setting up a new desktop and was looking at a 24/26 inch monitor. I then will not have space for a second monitor on the table - which would you think would be a better option...
I have a Dell Vostro 1200 notebook which is about 5 months old and have noticed the following problem.
I often make copies of my own music DVDs and try to play only the copies so that the originals are not damaged. I use DVD decrypter to rip the DVDs, DVD shrink the DVDs, and again DVD...

John,
Sorry for the delay in replying but I was actually in a jungle photographing tigers - no internet there.
I am sing a operative video camera which displays my surgery on a screen. This is for laparoscopy where the abdomen is not opened so there is no question of using a still caera. I...
Thanks - sounds ideal except that I would love to have a remote so my staff can capture the images as and when I need. If I get a TV tuner card will I be able to capture still images too?
What I have currently is a video camera which photographs my surgery. The processor unit has 2 s-video outputs and I use one to connect to a monitor to view the surgery and perform the surgery. Currently I connect the second S-video to my mini dv camcorder to capture the surgery.
Later I DL...
