how many of you people use the power on by mouse or keyboard?

Yeah, just touch the space bar and it turns on. I've got a PS48X, also has a feature called "Automatic Power Up", which allows you to set the system to power up automatically at the time of day you specify.

Good Internal DVD Rom

Just got a Lite-On 166s 16/48 DVD to replace my A-Open 52x CD-Rom, love this Lite-On. It is fast, smooth a quiet. Also have a LiteOn CD-RW, not the newest and lastest, but it hasn't let me down yet. Yes, I think this board does have many Lite-On fans, and I can see why. Cheers, Hagen

Do I need more RAM?

Definitely go for 512mb, even with the extra DDR Ram on the Video card. I installed Cacheman, a freeware program, which manages RAM more efficiently, and also lets you know how much RAM is free. I have Win XP Home Edition, and I am always using over 200mb of the 512mb I have, often over 256mb...

Hard drive noise reduction

Quick: MSI or Lite on (52x CD-ROM)? And Retail vs. other fan

Why is Apple the only company making large size LCDs?

Did I make a mistake buying the Seagate SATA Barracuda V?

Quietest 60+GB hard disk?

I'd go with the Seagate Barracude IV: 60G 7200rpm ATA100 2M ST360021A with Hydraulic Baring (Barracuda4 ) I've got one, and it's barely audible. Also, the price has dropped, at least up here in Canada, now only 129cad, which is about 70usd, I don't know if the prices are comparable in the U.S...

Desktop Processor Roadmap - 800mhz FSB and 1mb L2 cache and Hyper-Threading

Just bear in mind you'll have to get a new M/B to support the 800mhz FSB when they come out. I think I read that the new processor will also support 533mhz FSB, then of course you don't get the full benefit of the new processor if it's downgrading itself to the 533mhz bus speed. My mobo support...

Thanks for the advice, I'm not really expert enough to get into the overclocking thing just yet. No need to upgrade RAM yet then, thanks for that. I'm going to wait for the next generation of CPU to come out, then get one with 533mhz bus. My M/B is technologically ahead of my other components...
