If it's anything like the WET11 (which it looks to be), it's totally software-less, so it'll work with ANYTHING that has an ethernet connection that can otherwise be plugged straight into a router/modem/etc. I figure I'll use it for my PS2, but I might also test it out and see if I can get...

here's their site I might have the terminology wrong. I assumed it was similar to the WET11, but it looks like it might be a straight ethernet to wireless converstion rather than a full-on bridge.

Found this originally at J&R. It's about the size of a deck of cards, but is necessary to plug your ethernet cable into say from a PS2 or XBOX to use it wirelessly. Similar product would be the WET11 from Linksys. Here's the deal. Finally found at provantage.com for 73.69 + 5.95 shipping...

preferred by whom and for what reason? Appreciate the comment...i was looking at the separate tv card, but figured since I'm not going to be using my vid card for gaming that frequently that I'd just get a combo. but obviously open to your advice/comments.

yes and no. I'm in chitown, which is known for grueling summers. I run the triathalon every august when it's 95° on an 80% RH day after training all summer in the same. It's a 4 hour workout, but because I drink a gallon of water a day, I never need it during the race. I hit the gatorade...

My guess is you're mistaking hunger pangs for nausea because you're moving around too much with that liquid in your stomach. Try eating solid foods only in the morning. wheat toast, peanut butter, turkey sandwich, etc. I think that the protein shake you're drinking is too easy to digest and...

hmmm...let me try and answer my own question...and if I'm wrong...someone let me know. AAT reviewed the P4PE in general, and any interations /lan, /sata, etc....is just more money. so the /L is the cheapest version of the P4PE, which is why it's in their priceguide? I think I'm caught...

sorry again. I set mine at work to turn on tomorrow morning at 7. Will let you know if it's as simple as it's supposed to be. if it is, I'm doubting you're missing anything, it might just not be functioning properly. is it an older version of bios or one you just downloaded today?

XP install problem.

mine couldn't find driver.cab, and I have a feeling it is causing the cdrom problem I'm having here. but can't verify that because I do'nt know enough about the driver.cab file. will try updating bios though and reinstalling.

not to insult you, but sometimes the obvious is missed. did you enter the time in 24:00 (military) format? I'm assuming it's pm where you are, so that might affect it. otherwise, not sure, I've never played with it, I just know it's there. another obvious...your computer still has power to...

help? if nothing else, could one of the camp elders list the remifications of a win2kpro install not finding the driver.cab file? is there a way I can plant this on the computer so it will be found upon install? I can't necessarily go look for it because it tells me it can't find the file in...

I guess it depends on what you want in the end. if you want your new loadup screen, then you'll probably have to keep tinkering with it. if you just want it the way it was, you just need to get any dos prompt (ie slave to your dad's master) and rename your boot.bak to boot.ini. you don't...

it's generally an option in your bios. at least it's an option in mine. If you don't have it, try getting the latest version of your bios from your motherboard manuf.

Windows 2000 Install problems

have you tried formatting to fat32? unless you need the file security, ntfs isn't that big of a bonus. If you're doing a cleanboot on a new HDD, it wouldn't be that much of an effort to see if it works and then reformat if you don't like it.

the cdrom is an hp special...ie crappy. but I had just purchased a 48x12x48 cdrw (cendyne/rebadged liteon) and installed it before trying the OS install. I tried to reinstall the drivers on it just to make sure, but alas, lag/hangup/etc....the root of my problem. It really WANTS to work, but...
